Historia
Jefferson Bethke burst into the cultural conversation in 2012 with a passionate, provocative poem titled “Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus.” The four-minute video of Bethke’s spoken-word performance literally became an overnight sensation, with seven million YouTube views in its first forty-eight hours (and 24+ million within a year). The message hit like a blizzard on social-media sites and in forwarded e-mails, triggering an avalanche of responses running the gamut from encouraged to enraged.

The questions we all want to ask but don't
Revisado: 03-30-16
Where does Jesus > Religion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I recognize that Bethke is a young man but I appreciate that he has taken the time to self study and delve into topics others avoid. He presents his questions of his own faith, the bible, and religion in such a way that it pulled me in. I myself have been frustrated that many of the topics Bethke spoke of are often avoided, misinterpreted, and even denied explanation by many pastors and church leaders. They may talk on the topic but in a way that makes people feel good, not how it was meant to be told, where we may walk away upset, convicted, or realizing we have a big problem. Today's church/religion is the "give everyone a ribbon" type of church, make everyone feel good, God will give them what ever they want no matter what they ask for. Bethke helps to clear that up with a very clear distinction between Jesus' intent and what religion has done.
What does Jefferson Bethke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Honesty and boldness in helping others understand truth.

The Master Key System, along with The Science of Getting Rich, is the source of Rhonda Byrne’s inspiration for the book and film The Secret.Originally published in 1912 as a correspondence course, it teaches that everything around us was first developed as a thought. That means that thought is the powerful catalyst for turning any idea into a reality. The Master Key System will show you how to use the power of these thoughts to realize your dreams.

a bullet pout type of reading. the reader had an odd inflection or forced enunciation which was distracting and annoying.

Historia
Step back to Christianity's first three centuries to see how it transitioned from the religion of Jesus to a religion about Jesus. How did a single group from among many win the struggle for dominance to establish the beliefs central to the faith, rewrite the history of Christianity's internal conflicts, and produce a canon of sacred texts – the New Testament – that supported its own views?
