The sex seems like allot but it’s only part of a good story
Revisado: 08-18-24
The sex didn’t bother me ( it was a necessity part of the story) as it may have others but at times what Verity was saying about her kids made me want to stop listening to this crazy woman. But the story was so complex that I felt compelled to continue. I found the story with the other author and Jeremy so interesting and the narration of both sides of the story so well done that I felt the book was exiting and the ending was very well done, I won’t say more as not to spoil it for you.

I’ve listened to many of his books and when I a lawyer book I go to him. This is one of his best because of description of the issues in the town and the political situation that’s involved. You don’t know how it will end until the final paragraph.

It’s a better story than advice
Revisado: 11-23-23
I think that this book isn’t realistic in that it doesn’t doesn’t go into how to speak to your partner that’s in love with you about you having sex with someone else. This would be a very explosive situation for a couple, a entire book could be written about it by a psychologist let alone two women that were successful in getting their partners to agree to them f**cking other men.

Revisado: 11-14-23
I have liked most Danial’s books because he writes them in such a way that the technology is believable and it’s well researched so that it has continuity through the book. Jeff does a great job reading it as well.

Revisado: 04-01-23
I don’t often listen to Baldeci because years ago I had a couple of books that where the story was difficult to follow, this is the second book excellent book since then. I found the story very well written and so clear that it was easy to imagine yourself there. It was realistic for a fictional story in that if he stayed strictly to what happen in the real world it would likely be boring. Scott Brick did his usual great job narrating, sorry if you aren’t a fan of his.

The story sucked and the narrator was irritating
Revisado: 10-12-17
This is the first book I have listened to by this author and it will be my last. I usually don't give a one star rating, but with a " goofy" story and that the narrator had a irritating voice I feel that the book was a waist of time. I will return it.

The book gets Boring!
Revisado: 09-07-17
The book starts ok but after about 6 chapters she seems to have PTSD. She's a railroad cop in her "life " but then she has continuous flash backs to when she was a Marine in Iraq and the details of that. This could be a good book for people who like that sort of thing. I'm going to return it.

The Brethren: They call themselves the Brethren: three disgraced former judges doing time in a Florida federal prison. Two of Grisham's best
Revisado: 07-21-17
I haven't written a review in several years but found compelled to write this one. You can see the information on the books so I won't get into that. I have listened to at least a half dozen Grisham books and think these a couple of his best. It takes a lawyer to think like a crooked lawyer and Grisham did great, the story 's were realistic and entertaining and well written. The narration was very good with him using well done voices and accents.

It could have been better.
Revisado: 04-19-14
Would you be willing to try another book from David Baldacci? Why or why not?
No, because he is a "hit and miss author" in that he can have good books and others are not so good like this one is. This is the second book I have listened to from David Baldacci the first one I rated 5 stars and this one 3 stars. The reason this book is 21 hours long is that many scenes are described in minute detail. For example their was a meal he tells you every thing in the meal. He does this type of thing in many other situations as well.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Jason Culp?
I think he did a poor job in that his reading speed would vary from Normal to very slow, at a couple of points I increased the play back speed to 1.25. He also several times mispronounced words as if he wasn't paying attention to what he was reading or the context in which the words are used.
Could you see Last Man Standing being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No.
Any additional comments?
You likely can tell I was disappointed with this book, in my opinion if The author had left out much of the unnecessary detailed descriptions and used another narrator the book would have been much better.

An entertaining listen
Revisado: 02-22-11
This book was well written and narrated and I enjoyed listening to it. The only thing about it that gave me pause was some of the characters in it (without giving anything away), at first this took me time to get used to as it was along stretch from reality, but once I got it in my mind that this is fantasy (something I don't read much) I was fine with it. In the end I felt that it was worth the time and credit.
