Historia
You might believe you’re thinking clearly in the moments that matter most. But in all likelihood, when the pressure is on, you won’t be thinking at all. And your subsequent actions will inevitably move you further from the results you ultimately seek—love, belonging, success, wealth, victory. According to Farnam Street founder Shane Parrish, we must get better at recognizing these opportunities for what they are, and deploying our cognitive ability in order to achieve the life we want.

'Clear Thinking' delivered in clear narratives

As good as the podcast I have been following with more depth. Wish I have learned how to clearly think in my teens and early twenties.
Highly recommend

Historia
Almost everyone feels stuck in some way. Whether you’re muddling through a midlife crisis, wrestling with writer’s block, trapped in a thankless job, or trying to remedy a fraying friendship, the resulting emotion is usually a mix of anxiety, uncertainty, fear, anger, and numbness. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Anatomy of a Breakthrough is the “deeply researched and compelling” (Cal Newport, New York Times bestselling author of Digital Minimalism) roadmap we all need to escape our inertia and flourish in the face of friction.

Intriguing, excellent storytelling back by science

as someone periodically stuck or stumbled at high stake moments, I found this book to be encouraging and practical. Excellent examples followed with research that supported the main claims.
The narrators did a good job, tho they switching for the last two chapters appeared odd at the beginning but I get used to the 'new voice's after half chapter.

Good but too general
Revisado: 05-31-21
it's good book all things considered . my lower rating mainly becuz I didnt learn much new methods/mental models from the author. and I wish the last chapter - thinking, could be more in depth and covers more different mental models for different scenario/circumstances.

Historia
Most people believe that the best way to motivate is with rewards like money - the carrot-and-stick approach. That's a mistake, says Daniel H. Pink (author of To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Motivating Others). In this provocative and persuasive new book, he asserts that the secret to high performance and satisfaction - at work, at school, and at home - is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world.

Historia
Why do some products capture our attention, while others flop? What makes us engage with certain products out of habit? Is there a pattern underlying how technologies hook us? This audiobook introduces listeners to the "Hooked Model", a four-step process companies use to build customer habits. Through consecutive cycles through the hook, successful products reach their ultimate goal of bringing users back repeatedly - without depending on costly advertising or aggressive messaging.

The book might have been good if in text

This is the second time I finished a non fiction on Audible. While I purchased it as I heard good words about this book and believed I would be easier to “read” through it if I could listening while I am commuting or running. In truth, i just listened full 10 chapters without memorizing much....could be the fact that I wasn’t paying enough attention . But after two books, both non fiction and I am really hoping to learn from, I don’t think I would use Audible for learning purpose again; only for books that are entertaining such as fiction. And I don’t read fictions....
