Good Story
Revisado: 12-26-24
I thought it was a pretty good book. Kind of a typical Clancy storyline about how AI could be used as a weapon. The characters are well done and keep in line with his other books. If you like the Clancy books, you would probably enjoy this one.

Historia
TJ Devlin is the charming disappointment in the prominent Devlin family, all of whom are lawyers at their highly successful firm—except him. After a stint in prison and rehab for alcoholism, TJ can’t get hired anywhere except at the firm, in a make-work job with the title of investigator. But one night, TJ’s world turns upside down after his older brother John confesses that he murdered one of their clients, an accountant he’d confronted with proof of embezzlement. It seems impossible coming from John, the firstborn son and Most Valuable Devlin.

Grisham is Back
Revisado: 06-21-24
I have not enjoyed a few of the past Grisham books. They feel like he took legal briefs and decided to write a book about it. They were slow and boring. This was much like some of his earlier storyline and it was interesting and enjoyable. The reader was also was from his earlier books and that helped.

Interesting
Revisado: 06-05-24
I thought the book was well written. The overall storyline wasn't that great for me. I really like the author's first book. I think she likes to write different types of storylines and chose this one to keep it unique. The reader did a pretty good job, but the southern accent didn't seem to fit the locations.

Historia
When Amos Decker is called to South Florida to investigate a double homicide, the case appears straightforward: A federal judge and her bodyguard have been found dead, the judge’s face sporting a blindfold with two eye holes crudely cut out, a clear sign that she’d made one too many enemies over her years on the bench. What at first seems cut and dry is anything but: Not only did the judge have more enemies than Decker can count—from violent gang members, drug dealers, and smugglers to a resentful ex-husband—but the bodyguard presents additional conundrums that muddy the waters even further.

One of the Best of This Series
Revisado: 05-17-24
I really enjoy the writing of this author. The Memory Man series is very good and this is one of the best in the series. I think having the male and female readers is excellent. They both do a great job.

what an excellent book! The reader added to the book as well, but this story had its villains and lovable characters. The development of the characters was rich and done so well. Scottoline truly is a master and I enjoyed this book very much.

Excellent
Revisado: 12-08-23
There a quite a few good writers out there with good books, but no one is better and more consistent at putting out great crime stories. His writing is superb, his characters are excellent and the readers in the audio versions are top notch. This book was no exception. I look forward to reading or listening to the next one in this series or any other Connelly book.
