The book follows a female character named Elle who is adopted has just left her job and is about to become homeless if she doesn’t find something quick. She runs into an ad that brings her to the Christmas and Holly house, where she mets a very eccentric woman that lives with her housekeeper. Elle is a little skeptical because she does not like Christmas, but there’s something about the women that live there. The tree gets decorated with ornaments that are filled with magic making a story come to life!

The story starts off fairly slow giving the reader a look into Elle’s current life and what brings her to the Christmas house. The beginning of the book starts making you think to yourself “wait a minute, what’s really going on here?” Once the story starts getting closer to the end and the magic starts unraveling between each story everything starts to come together and it all starts to make sense. The magical element that the author put into this book is just magnificent. The joy that the book brings while reading it and the clarity you get to all the questions is phenomenal. Everything in the story is so well thought out and just falls into place perfectly. The book maintains a slow steady intriguing pace all the way through! The book definitely ties all loose ends at the end of the book with a definite twist you will not expect!

This is the first book I am giving a 5 star in 2025! It was very beautifully written. The story and the feel that it gives is just so magical I would recommend it to anyone who loves Christmas. Anyone who is or has experience with adoption might also want to give this book a try. If you are also looking for something sweet and light hearted this is also a book for you! Overall such an amazing book everyone should read!

Obviously a nightmare before Christmas retelling with a little twist and spice! In the beginning of the fist half of the book I found Nick”coal” insufferable. I could not stand him! I did warm up towards the end he’s just an excited person with a big heart when it comes to people and things that matter to him. I really enjoyed the concept and storyline. I like how Hex stayed true to his “Halloween” character but it wasn’t just about scares or being scary, so I really enjoyed that aspect. I’m glad they were able to stop Christmas’s father and fix everything so that every holiday can be happy and enjoyed the way they should. I really enjoyed it overall can’t wait for the second book.

Super cute, light weight romance read. I liked how it was different from what I’ve read. You have Bee a plus sized porn star who’s trying to make her debut and a washed up pop star from a boy band trying to make a come back doing a Christmas movie. I liked how it wasn’t your typical thin cute gal, but a beautiful mid sized gal who was confident and knew what they brought to the table. At first they both want to keep it secret, then it’s really just him because of work. It just all works out in the end super cute loved it. It does have some spice I would say light to medium.

I absolutely loved this! I loved how it told Jamesons and Avery’s story, I loved how it went to the beginning and told Hannah’s and Toby’s story which makes perfect sense when it comes to Avery and Jameson. I enjoyed the unfolding of Libby and Nash’s story. It all flowed very well tied up all loose ends for me I really enjoyed it! I love how they even covered Zander and Max just an overall good book all while sticking to the fun of puzzles and games!

I honestly didn’t like this book. It dragged too much I honestly didn’t pay attention to the actual story I couldn’t really tell you what happened. I feel like Grayson and Jameson were just against each other I didn’t like the distant between Avery and Jameson after them just admitting they liked each other in the previous book. Nash and Zander aren’t really in the book which also didn’t like. This was just not it for me.

I could have gone without losing Toby and having to go find him. After the second game the riddles and games were a little over done, I would have like to have known about more of Avery and the boys lives after not just a year but maybe several years to see if Avery and the boys still had that close of a relationship. It was still a solid read for me I really overall liked this series and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
