Historia
Lawrence "Yogi" Berra was never supposed to become a major league ballplayer. That's what his immigrant father told him. That's what Branch Rickey told him, too—right to Berra's face, in fact. Even the lowly St. Louis Browns of his youth said he'd never make it in the big leagues. Yet baseball was his lifeblood. It was the only thing he ever cared about. Heck, it was the only thing he ever thought about.

The reader's attempt to read in the voices of the characters in the book. I have heard some of them speak and they sound nothing like the real people. This is especially so with the women in the writing. Listen to Robert Redford's narration of the film, A River Runs Through It to hear how a book should be read aloud.

Historia
Positively 4th Street is a mesmerizing account of how four young people (Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Mimi Baez Farina, and Richard Farina) gave rise to a modern-day bohemia and created the enduring sound and style of the 1960s.

The story was well written. I enjoyed the detailed description of the time and places.
Revisado: 01-18-24
Dislike the reader's reading in voices approximating characters in the book. It took away from the story and descriptions.

Well done
Revisado: 03-08-18
Mr Inglis brought this wonderful story to life. I have read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings almost every spring since 1966 when I was first introduced to them. Now I can take them everywhere.
