I really appreciate the information, especially as a supplement to Jonathan’s MDMA facilitation course, which I recently began as a means of bolstering my credentials as a psychedelic facilitator. This book is a must read for anyone in the industry.

Incredible, infuriating, thorough

Narrator did a fantastic job with the subject. A gifted orator. The author was extremely dedicated and it paid off. The evidence was overwhelmingly clear explaining the motivations behind Christianity’s dark and secret origins.

Great resource for anyone who wants to avoid the systemic pitfalls, ego trips, cultural appropriation, re-traumatization and general ignorance of the guided psychedelic experience. Not the only resource by any means, but an important one for sure.

Historia
Waking the Tiger offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity. It asks and answers an intriguing question: Why are animals in the wild, though threatened routinely, rarely traumatized? By understanding the dynamics that make wild animals virtually immune to traumatic symptoms, the mystery of human trauma is revealed.

Worst Narration of a most important work
Revisado: 09-13-22
I can’t believe how excruciating this narration is. I am only 5 minutes in, and I don’t know how I will endure the remaining 8 hours and 50 minutes of Lavine’s best work. Sorensen sounds like he has no connection to his words whatsoever, as if he’s parodying a script from the most trite and uninteresting low-budget movie he’s ever been burdened to read. Whoever narrated “The Body Keeps the Score” should spare us further agony and make a new version of this book. That guy could at least hear himself.
