Only reason why I didn't gi e 5 stars on performance was Ethan's voice. He sounded a little like a stoner. Sorry.

Nice, cute funny romance

Most books by Christina Lauren makes me relive some of the feelings I have during those tense and exciting beginning of a relationship. The characters in this one are sympathetic, intelligent, and there's plenty of character development.
The premise for the story is clishe and it could have gone really wrong. But the story holds up and is really well written. The story, as it was told by CL, is feels original.

The book isn't the best as an audio book since it has sections of chats, which is confusing to listen to but probably easier to read. A part from that it's a good listen. I particularly like the female narrator as she seems like she could be a little self-deprecative and it lends itself to reading inner dialogues well. The male narrator is good at creating the male characters and portraying them as real people.

What made the experience of listening to DDlg: Volume 2 the most enjoyable?

I really like how the book consists of several stories with different Daddy Dom characters. The stories are written as monologues, or the Dom's POV, and it feels like he's talking directly to you, as his Little.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Daddy Dom in the story "You've got a mouth on you". The idea of giving oral sex to a really hot, dominant man, while he instructs you is just my cup of tea. His happy, horny, cajoling voice makes the story even hotter.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I think it's best when you split the stories up. It's a book you can listen to over and over again,- it's perfect to get you going when you want to get in the mood. I pick out my favourites and go back over and over again.

Any additional comments?

The author/narrator makes some extraordinary BDSM-fiction/erotica. He makes it feel real. If you've ever enjoyed the genre or any sort of dirty talk, you need to try him; he's simply excellent.

What made the experience of listening to DDlg Volume 1: The Best of Daddy Dom and Little Girl Roleplay the most enjoyable?

Apart from the excellent DDlg stories, I love the performance the narrator gives. It's almost like he's there in the room with you.

The stories read like a monologue, and when performed by the author/narrator, feel like you're partaking in BDSM role-playing. The Grey Knight simply makes the characters come alive, and they're sexy with a low, growling voice. Simply delicious.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Daddy Dom in the story "Princess Day". He makes me feel like when I've done something naughty and gotten away with it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Welcome to the world of a Little in a Daddy Dom wonderland.

For anyone confused by the term DDlg, it refers to Daddy Dom (as in dominant), and Little girl (as in BDSM Little). These are just two of various identities dominants or submissives might choose when role-playing or playing a scene in BDSM-activites. There is another volume of DDlg by the same author you should check out if you liked this one! :)

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you're familiar with the genre of BDSM erotica and your kinks are degradation or non-con, this is perfect for you.

What did you like best about this story?

I think the best part of this book is that there is a selection of short stories, - small variations of non-con.

This collection contains the most extreme pieces from the author. It has some of the classic non-con scenarios (police-officer/best friend's boyfriend/Dom), and some less usual (Pirate/Coach robber).

Which character – as performed by The Grey Knight – was your favorite?

The story "Sweet degradation" with DDlg elements,- he's hot, turned-on, demanding, and sadistic.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I find degradation/non-con a little scary since I have very specific triggers. If you're sensitive to rape or degrading terms (worthless/slut/whore), I would recommend having a look at the author's other books instead.

Any additional comments?

The author/narrator has a wonderful voice, and he uses different accents with each character. His performances are very good and feel authentic.

Love the book, and I LOVE the audiobook

Where does The Best of The Grey Knight 2015 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is probably the best collection so far. I mean, I absolutely LOVE "Oral fantasies", but this contains some of my all time, hands-down, favourite short stories (100-1 JOI, Bake and Take, Patience).
It's good value for money too, since the collection is so large and has a mix of the author's signature genres (BDSM, DDlg, Cowboy Jack, sweet boyfriend experience, consensual non-consent, instructional (oh! the instructions! They are AWESOME) JOI).

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Daddy character is my favourite,- when he teases and orders me to cum.... Wow. Amazing. I mean, if you read BDSM fiction, you've probably always wondered about the experience of being ordered to orgasm..? Now, you don't have to..! ;)

Which character – as performed by The Grey Knight – was your favorite?

"Patience": He's simply so hot, dominant, sexy, mean, and a little sadistic. Mm! Mm! Mmmmm!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It would be a mishmash of lots of stories and characters. Maybe "Lie back and enjoy - The many faces of the Grey Knight"

What's special about these short erotic stories is that the author performs them as if he really IS the character. Many narrators can try to act out a character in a book, but they never even get close to this author. The Grey Knight uses that Dom voice, additional audio-effects, and he performs the story as if it's real. You can just close your eyes and you're THERE in the story.
It's almost like a radio-play of sorts, and it takes a little getting used to the fact that it's a monologue. When you get over that, however, you can incorporate your own responses into the story. It's just a whole new way of listening to erotica. I'm addicted.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've read it as a book, but as an audio book. Just wow. Just...It's the closest thing to actually receiving oral sex as a women can come, without actually having a partner. And yeah, we ALL deserve this little treat so, I would recommend it to anyone straight and female.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Oral Fantasies?

I'm pretty much in love with this whole book, but my personal favourite is when he asks "So what do you say, Baby? Do you wanna cum for me?". I get goosebumps. Real goosebumps.

What about The Grey Knight’s performance did you like?

Everything. The voice. The different characters. The sound effects. The way he makes the stories come alive so I can just close my eyes and it feels like he's there...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made for a VERY satisfying time. Like, I had to change batteries-kinda satisfying time. And, as previously mentioned, goosebumps.

You may believe that when you listen to other narrators perform your favorite books, that it's good, that it feels real, that you can place yourself in the book. The Grey Knight takes it to a whole new level. He has sound effects and performs the stories like he's your man/lover/friend/Dom/Daddy Dom. You gotta try his brand of story-telling. Because it's the best I've ever found.

Would you consider the audio edition of Anew to be better than the print version?

Yes!!! As it's narrated by the author, and he's sinmply excellent at it, it adds another dimension to the story,- it comes alive and increases its intensity.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Anew?

There is a plot twist in the story, but I don't want to spoil it ;)

What does The Grey Knight bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His dark, sensual voice makes the characters come alive. It made it easy to place myself in the story, making the whole scenario real and scorching hot.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Well, it would be a thriller bdsm porn,- so probably something along the lines of...
"It's too late for your safeword now, little girl".

The author gives a wonderful performance in each and every book he narrates. Pretty much the voice of a dream Dom. If you like BDSM,- try him. You'll want to thank me later ;)

Would you consider the audio edition of BDSM to be better than the print version?

The format of the book indicates this was always intended as an audiobook (written as a transcript almost). You also have the wonderful addition of the narrator's voice which brings it to life and creates an erotic fantasy world to fall into.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The narrator, since it's his monologue or fictional dialogue we're hearing. That is, in the audio he's talking directly to you, like he's YOUR Dom. Stuff of dreams, really. What I imagine meeting that perfect Dom at the Shadowlands would be. *sigh*

What about The Grey Knight’s performance did you like?

He is the perfect combination of deep male voice; sincere, clear, and dominant instructions; horny, sexy man sounds (like during sex); teasing and sadistic Dom. He has this wonderful, incredibly hot (a little evil) laugh. And let's not forget: background noises that makes the whole thing feel real, including spanking noises. The voice turns me all squirmy and hot inside. It's Daddy Dom stuff, mostly, but done in such a way that it's appealing and not creepy.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

(it would sooo be a porn) Come here, little girl. You're going to cum for me.

I'll likely buy all the audios from this author/narrator. I have so far, and intend to do so in the future. At this point, I'm pretty addicted, and regular audiobook readings of erotica seem lacklustre and leave me wanting. This, well, THIS is worth the money.
