Historia
USS Bull Shark is running for Pearl Harbor after leaving New London and her victory over the Nazi Q-ship, but all is not well aboard the boat. The Japanese are planning a major offensive and the clock is rapidly ticking – with what will become one of the most decisive battles of the war looming on the horizon, the Navy still doesn’t know exactly where or when it’s going to happen. Can Bull Shark play her part in the Battle of Midway? Or will she meet with Yamamoto’s secret weapon and be swept aside in Japan’s quest for power?

Fun Read
Revisado: 03-17-24
Fun story based on real events like the battle of Midway, breaking codes and the huge Japanese sub with float planes. He did a great job of weaving in the fictional character with real hero's and folks. You can see one of these folding float planes at the Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport. Also adding drug use which happened in an era when some of those things were heavily prescribed was an interesting touch that I had not seen referenced in fictional war stories before. I am really enjoying the characters so far.

Historia
December 7, 1941 - America is attacked by the Japanese and dragged into a worldwide struggle for power unlike anything ever seen on Earth. While the United States and the Navy reel from the devastation of Pearl Harbor, the Nazis begin a brutal campaign within sight of the shores of the nation. U-boats prowl the American coast from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico, sinking shipping seemingly unopposed!

Fun story and great character development But...
Revisado: 02-26-24
The narrator was very good with American, British male and female voices but horrible with German accents - cringeworthy comes to mind. They don't even sound like Germans speaking English. The story although farfetched was fun and creative right down to the captain's wife on the sub during action. Historically, my only fault would be that the secret of Ultra messages was one of the best kept secrets of the war and in no way would it be discussed by or even known by anyone in this story for fear of the enemy getting knowledge of it from captured combat officers.

Historia
In 1941, when she was turned into an armed merchant cruiser, the SS Benbecula was already old. Yet even she was needed to protect the vital Atlantic sea lanes. Commander Lindsay, her new captain, had to work desperately to mould the ship’s company - raw recruits and old-timers - into a fighting force. And better than anyone, Lindsay knew this could be his last command, his last chance.

Well Done Fun
Revisado: 10-17-23
Fast paced action war story. Well-developed characters. I am looking forward to listening to more of this authors stories. Americans who rely on hearing aids might have trouble with the fast paced narration so try to listen with the volume up and without distraction - it's worth it!

Great Story
Revisado: 05-11-23
Instantly captivating story - good character development - good early war stuff when we had to work with WW1 old equipment and crappy torpedoes
