Historia
To eight-year-old Bela, her family is her world. There’s Mommy, Daddo, and Grandma Ruth. But there is also Other Mommy, a malevolent entity who asks her every day: “Can I go inside your heart?” When horrifying incidents around the house signal that Other Mommy is growing tired of asking Bela the question over and over, Bela understands that unless she says yes, her family will soon pay. Other Mommy is getting restless, stronger, bolder. Only the bonds of family can keep Bela safe, but other incidents show cracks in her parents’ marriage. The safety Bela relies on is about to unravel.

This book is annoying asf
Revisado: 07-01-24
The amount of reputation in this book made me want to actually scream. Also I hated both the parents. This is the first book ever that I had a hard time finishing.

Historia
In June 1993, a group of young guerilla filmmakers spent four weeks making Horror Movie, a notorious, disturbing, art-house horror flick. The weird part? Only three of the film’s scenes were ever released to the public, but Horror Movie has nevertheless grown a rabid fanbase. Three decades later, Hollywood is pushing for a big budget reboot.

It was good
Revisado: 06-13-24
I liked it for the most part. The "reading" of the script within the audio book was sort of monotonous but other than that it was good. I wish it was longer though I feel like I waited months just to read it in 1 day lol.

Wasn't for me
Revisado: 06-10-24
It was okay but it definitely wasn't horror, and it was slow. I kept waiting for something to happen and then it was over lol. I was expecting more pet cemetery I guess. It left alot unexplained I won't read this again unfortunately, but it wasn't horrible just don't do into it thinking it's horror.

Historia
Jennifer Thorne skewers all-too-familiar family dynamics in this sly, wickedly funny vacation-Gothic. Beautifully unhinged and deeply satisfying, Diavola is a sharp twist on the classic haunted house story, exploring loneliness, belonging, and the seemingly inescapable bonds of family mythology.

Good narrator. Annoying book.
Revisado: 12-29-23
I'm not sure what all the reviews are talking about but this book is not it. It was not scary literally at all. The father gets drunk and verbally abusive to his pregnant wife then nothing else comes of it but he's the good guy? He's a therapist that doesn't listen to his clients? There's just no redeeming qualities for this book unfortunately. The narrator was good with the demon voices especially that was pretty cool. Overall this is probably the worst book I've read all year.
