Interesting plot
Revisado: 06-17-22
None of the characters were likeable, but the plot was very interesting and I had to keep listening to see how it was going to end.

Could not stop listening!
Revisado: 01-17-22
I was so horrified, I wanted to stop listening. But I had to know what would happen to "Jane." I absolutely had to know, I couldn't just leave her there. I couldn't stop listening. Finished in less than 24 hours. Narrator was absolutely incredible.

Abby spent 2 hours telling the hunter, "But you won't listen to me..." rather than just telling the hunter that she wasn't the person who triggered the machine...

So glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews!
Revisado: 03-25-21
The negative reviews almost scared me away from this book. I’m so glad I didn’t listen! Most stories of this genre are implausible, so I’m not sure why there were so many negative reviews about the implausibility of this story in particular. I’ve also seen a lot of negative reviews about how whiny the main character is - while that may be, I felt she had good reason for her behaviors / responses to what was going on around her.

Historia
From 1915 to 1970, this exodus of almost six million people changed the face of America. Wilkerson compares this epic migration to the migrations of other peoples in history. She interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to new data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.

Beautiful Tragedy
Revisado: 05-04-20
This book was beautiful, to listen to how much this man truly loves his wife, and what felt like an honest portrayal of his own short-comings. As someone who works with people who experience psychosis, his depictions felt real. My only 'complaint' about this book (if you could even call it a complaint) is how sad it was, which really is just what made it so touching.

Great plot, not great writing.
Revisado: 01-07-20
The writing of this book wasn’t great. It was simple and cheesy and had me rolling my eyes at some point. The plot however is fascinating, if you can overlook a not-awesomely-written book for a great plot idea. Overall, I was glad I had listened to it.

EXCELLENT!!
Revisado: 01-02-20
This book was excellent! I don’t even want to explain why for fear of ruining the story! I listen to a lot of suspense, so can often be disappointed by this genre. However, what I loved about this book is that there were no hints to all the twists and turns until they were right in front of you. Great listen!

Ended better than it started out.
Revisado: 12-31-19
The book started out a little slow and seemed like a run-of-the-mill missing person / cop drama. However, once the story picked up, it was exciting to see how all the seemingly random pieces feel together. Great story!

Fantastic story but... difficult listen!
Revisado: 12-20-19
Fantastic story but... wow, what a difficult listen... in the sense that death is a difficult topic. But the well-written story and unknown of how the plot would end kept me listening.
