Historia
Renée Ballard works the night shift in Hollywood, beginning many investigations but finishing none, as each morning she turns her cases over to day shift detectives. A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. But one night she catches two cases she doesn't want to part with: the brutal beating of a prostitute left for dead in a parking lot and the killing of a young woman in a nightclub shooting. Ballard is determined not to give up at dawn.

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 04-26-25
A narrator makes or breaks an audiobook. Couldn’t stand to continue listening. I read all of Connelly books and this isn’t really as good as other Bosch series.

Racist
Revisado: 10-24-24
The author is such a biased racist. No second generation Asian American who became a lawyer, no less a judge, speaks with broken English. Speaking with an accent does not equate to speaking in broken English. I have never met such an individual in my legal profession.

A 2-hr audiobook bait and switch
Revisado: 11-29-23
It is infuriating to spend my credit to purchase an audiobook to find out it’s only 2 hours long and the story isn’t even worth it. Feels like I got sucker punched. Also, what’s with the abrupt ending? It’s as though the author decided to take a lunch break and completely forgot about finishing the book.

Historia
Mitch Rapp hates owing anyone a favor—especially when it’s the world’s most powerful crime lord. But when Damian Losa calls, Mitch is honor bound to answer. The Syrian government has created a highly addictive new narcotic that it plans to distribute throughout Europe. It’s a major threat to Losa’s business and he’s determined to stop it by any means necessary. Rapp is the perfect choice for the mission. Not only does he have extensive experience operating in the Middle East, but he’s also entirely expendable.

Not the right Rapp voice
Revisado: 09-13-23
No one can do Rapp’s voice better than George Guidall. Why wasn’t he chosen to be a narrator for this much anticipated book? Story was a bit short and could’ve used more development and complexity. Looking forward to the next series (with Guidall please).

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 01-04-23
A terrible narrator totally ruined the book! He simply just spits out words after words as if they mean nothing. No emotions or proper acting whatsoever.
