Historia
Earth’s mightiest hero Captain Marvel, A.K.A Carol Danvers, is asked for a simple favor by Tony Stark: to keep an eye on brilliant computer-science grad student Mara Melamed, who is struggling to find her feet at Empire State University. Although reluctant at first, Carol meets Mara and is impressed by the young woman. But trouble soon finds Captain Marvel in the form of a controversial operating system now on every electrical device in the world, a ruined family legacy, and one of Carol’s own friends framed for murder.

Historia
With no water, no air, and no native life, the planet Gora is unremarkable. The only thing it has going for it is a chance proximity to more popular worlds, making it a decent stopover for ships traveling between the wormholes that keep the Galactic Commons connected. If deep space is a highway, Gora is just your average truck stop. The Five-Hop is run by an enterprising alien and her sometimes helpful child, who work hard to provide a little piece of home to everyone passing through.

Amazing storytelling
Revisado: 07-16-22
This is not space adventure, this is creating some characters from other worlds and just spending time with them. Creating a sense of drama by giving out a little information at a time. In depth writing. Loved it

As Lovelace learns to negotiate the universe and discover who she is, she makes friends with Pepper, an excitable engineer, who’s determined to help her learn and grow. Together, Pepper and Lovey will discover that no matter how vast space is, two people can fill it together.

What science fiction is supposed to be
Revisado: 06-14-22
Science fiction at it’s best looks at big ideas and tries to use something close to real science, staying away, as much as possible, from fantasy science. This book does all that.
You inhabit a very real feeling universe. The characters draw you in because you can relate to how they feel. The story also explores ideas like parenting, what makes something living and who or what deserves rights.
The action comes not from an unbeatable Superman space hero with a blaster fighting in some type of space western, but from everyday people dealing with emotion and the challenges of life.
This book is even better than her first. A great ride. Oh and the performer deserves much more than an afterthought. She makes me believe in the characters

Just a great personal story
Revisado: 06-07-22
This story was great. If you are looking for space battle this is not it. But if you are looking for a story based on people you can relate to traveling in space in the future, this is an amazing book.
I noticed in some of the reviews people were made about a perceived progressive leaning in the story. Right wingers, please don’t read science fiction. It’s not the community for you. Read westerns or war books, genres more suitable for angry gun humpers.
Again, I was totally into the book. An audiobook that makes you want to stay in your car to hear what happens next
