Historia
While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.

Amazing storyline.
Revisado: 05-17-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to be better than the print version?
Absolutely loved the narrator. He practically made the 5 star rating possible. The storyline was almost believable. I find myself almost wondering if it was true. But of course we live in an era of vampire mania. :@)
What did you like best about this story?
It presented AL as a part of the baseline population; describing his ups and downs and how his passion was spread among many ideals.
Have you listened to any of Scott Holst’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I am now a Scott Holst fan and whenever I see his name as narrator I will seriously consider the purchase.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The story was believable inspite of the vampire environment; something that was not shocking because of the popularity of the vampire fantasy today.
Any additional comments?
I would recommend this book as a first rate listen without hesitation.

Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

My favorite type of story and story-telling.
Revisado: 04-19-12
Where does The Song of Achilles rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Very near the top. Loved the story line.
What other book might you compare The Song of Achilles to and why?
Comparing to Phillipa Gregory's type of presentation. Love the character personalities and the believability of them as individuals. Song of Achillies is a very well presented mythological story and if you are a myth buff, this is perfect for a listen.
What does Frazer Douglas bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His voice characterizations are very honest and distinctive. Easy to fall into each one of them with his narration.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I felt the entire presentation combined with the story line was great.
Any additional comments?
Buy the book. You won't be sorry. I will probably listen a second time.

Historia
Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Good Listen
Revisado: 04-19-12
Where does The Lincoln Lawyer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Mid range. The narrator kept me interested and was believable enough to make me want to finish the listen.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot was predictable but well presented.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the lawyer was shot by the murdering mother.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Kept wanting the lawyer and ex-wife to get back together. Seemed to be a thread throughout the personal side of the book's character.
Any additional comments?
I will download the remaining books in he series just to see what happens with his ex-wife. It is apparent he will always win his cases, but at least its interesting to listen to him do it.
