Would you consider the audio edition of Cannery Row to be better than the print version?

The audio version sparks just as much imagery as the print version. I would not consider one version better than the other.

Which character – as performed by Jerry Farden – was your favorite?

Doc is a really solid, hard working guy. He's there for his community when they need him and has a high level of empathy and tolerance for others who are not

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If my circumstances allowed it, I would have listened all the way through, start to finish. I actually listened over a few days while driving and flying and could not wait to get back into the book.

The storyteller is absolutely fantastic. This is a great performance and the best told book I've listened to thus far.

The drama created by the reader makes every moment of the book great.

The author is very detailed and descriptive in his story.

The author really takes you into the time and place.

The audiobook is very well done. I don't know if the print version can compare.

The book has many memorable moments and each is backed up by references to the Quran and other authoritative documents.

I have not listened to James Adams before. He is quite good.

Perspective-inducing, goodness born of tragedy.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The way in which a horrific experience can influence a long, productive life of therapy and helping others work through their less horrific life experiences.

The story is told through the author's voice so the author is the logical favorite.
