Very twisted plot. I enjoyed the story to the very end. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a great mystery novel.

I am absolutely LOVING this series!

I am in awe. Discovering a new series so rich in believable historical detail, yet built on the lives of an intriguing cast of characters, has me hunkering down in bliss to enjoy the ride.
Mr Jackson’s narration takes some getting used to, but is soon irreplaceable. (I admit to an increased pace because I can’t wait to know what happens next.)

Also, there is fulfilling romance without unseemly bodice ripping or explicit sexual detail. Furthermore, the woman protagonist is portrayed to possess more than half a brain!

I think I should mention that both of these first two novels begins with the female protagonists escaping dire circumstances. I felt immediately dropped into the thick of the plot; hit the ground running so to speak.
Let the wild ruckus begin!

I love it

I’m so intrigued by geology, plate tectonics, and the way technology has deepened our understanding of our planet’s current land formations.
John McPhee explains the North American story from east to west (with necessary input from related topography.) I was thinking in the beginning that the format was going to drive me crazy and sped up the narrative.
Then I had to get out maps, and a book with the many unfamiliar terms defined.

With my visual aids and setting time to listen without distractions, I became engrossed.
I’m too old to wander over basin and range now, (and I hate snakes) but I have taken many road trips in my time.

2 Fives and a Four

Entertaining as always. I love the way she brings in all the local area residents to play a part in her stories and continues to build a community.
I gave the story four stars this time because there was too much comedy before we had a lot of tension. I think those hilarious moments are funnier when they come at the most inopportune times, But that’s just my personal opinion,
Cassandra Campbell is the best narrator for the series. I just love her!
Also, PLEASE keep those books coming.

I could never stay married to an actor,

Maybe not even Tom Hanks,
But he does know how to tell a story.

My favorite thing, is the way he ends with the beginning. That’s where the love resides for me.

And all that hubbub and clamor in between, the blur- was a great ride through endlessly fascinating production details and modern technology put to its best uses.
Also, if not for Tom Hanks writing and narration, I would not have been interested in such a title. But he’s never let me down before and hasn’t this time. What a gift.
