Space Madness!
Revisado: 09-14-22
In short: this audiobook was great. The story kept me interested, the narrator kept me engaged. A nice combination of twists and supernatural to give a satisfying and well earned ending. highky recommend. I will be looking into more works by both the author and the narrator.

Well written and well read. Good plot. Rich characters. Went into it already a fan and only gained more respect for it by the end.

Good followup
Revisado: 04-18-22
Lots of twists and turns. Some are predictable but they do not take away from the enjoyment of the story. Coben respects the reader enough to think for themselves and peppers legitimate clues throughout so the end reveals are never impossible to figure out. The narrator does an excellent job for the characters and the noir feel of the whole experience.

Historia
A strange plague called the "Gets" is decimating humanity on a global scale. It causes people to forget - small things at first, like where they left their keys... then the not-so-small things like how to drive, or the letters of the alphabet. Then their bodies forget how to function involuntarily - and there is no cure. But now, far below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, deep in the Marianas Trench, an heretofore unknown substance hailed as "ambrosia" has been discovered - a universal healer, from initial reports.

Visceral. Not for everyone, but does the job well.
Revisado: 03-16-22
The visuals Cutter paints with his words can be shocking, evoking real revulsion. Coupled with a strong ability to build dread, this creates a story that starts with despair saturated in unease, grips tight with horror and mounting panic, and never relents.
The narrator does an excellent job conveying the emotions and delivers each line in a way that lends believability to the madness.
The subject matter is not for everyone. If you want space to breathe, the pacing leaves little room for it. I was in the mood for exactly this type of experience, and it delivered on every level.

Historia
The Reservoir follows an unexceptional man in an exceptional time. We see our present-day pandemic world and New York City through the eyes of a former Wall Street veteran, Ridley, as he, in his enforced quarantined solitude, looks back upon his life. He examines his wins, his failures, the gnawing questions - his career, his divorce, his estranged daughter - and questions what it all means and who he really was.
