A nice little action tale. Not really in-depth on character building not really that big in the history but it was a fun lesson

Why we think it’s a great listen: There’s no gentle way to put this – Frank McCourt’s performance of Angela’s Ashes is just better than the Pulitzer Prize-winning book. Frank McCourt shares his sometimes heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking story of growing up poor, Irish, and Catholic in the Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir Angela's Ashes.

What can I say about this book that has been said by 100's of others here. Terrific, EPIC novel. Loved to hear the author tell the story. I know how he said ok, I don't know, in his small lilting voice.
LOVED IT, I think you will to.

Historia
At the end of The Winter, King Arthur fought the battle that forces unity on the warring British kingdoms and now he sets out to face the real enemy - the English (it is one of the great ironies of the Arthur stories that he should have become an English hero when, if he existed at all, he was a great war-leader who opposed the invading Sais). First, though, Merlin leads a perilous expedition into the mysterious west to retrieve a cauldron, one of the treasures of Britain.

A pretty good tale
Revisado: 05-17-15
When I first started listening, I was really into it and then I seemed to bog down a bit. (I may have been me) I was tried and working hard and long hrs and the story was a bit depressing. By the end when it all got tied together I was again enjoying it.
I learned a bit about the area and reasons behind the wars.
I though the narrator did a fine job and would listen to her again.
I recommend this book to all

Historia
In the bizarre world of Franz Kafka, salesmen turn into giant bugs, apes give lectures at college academies, and nightmares probe the mysteries of modern humanity’s unhappiness. More than any other modern writer in world literature, Kafka captures the loneliness and misery that fill the lives of 20th-century humanity.

interesting stories
Revisado: 03-16-15
I read the castle and didn't like it at all, these stories are not like the castle. I think most of these stories are interesting and a few are even quite good. I like Haruki Murakami, and some compare him to kafka, so I thought I would read Kafka. I don't understand the comparison, maybe I haven't read the right books yet and I don't think I will.
I think George Guidall does a fine job reading the stories. I have listened to other books he's read. I wouldn't put him on my favorite narrators list, but I think he does a decent job.

Historia
A land-surveyor, known only as K., arrives at a small village permanently covered in snow and dominated by a castle to which access seems permanently denied. K.'s attempts to discover why he has been called constantly run up against the peasant villagers, who are in thrall to the absurd bureaucracy that keeps the castle shut, and the rigid hierarchy of power among the self-serving bureaucrats themselves.

Psycobabble
Revisado: 03-15-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
only if my friend wanted to be able to say "I've read Kafka" which is exactly why I finished this nonsensical book. If you like reading/listening to people argue the same point from 3-4 different positions with each other for no reason other than to hear themselves think then this is your book.
Would you recommend The Castle to your friends? Why or why not?
no
Which character – as performed by Allan Corduner – was your favorite?
none
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
if it were 100 degrees outside and I didn't have air conditioning and I needed a place to take a nap I would buy a ticket to the show and have a nice cool nap.
