I’ve really enjoyed some of Chaney’s stories, but this was not one of them. It seemed like an attempt to force every possible monster, mishap, and meaningless plot twist possible into one book. I’m sorry I spent the time and money on it.

Horrible narration

Nearly unintelligible. Monotone with slurred pronunciation. This made whatever story there was impossible to follow or enjoy. Of a couple thousand audible books I’ve heard, this was the worst.

A brilliant condemnation of consequence free wishful thinking

Sadly, the body of Dr. Sowell’s work, regardless of the facts and logic presented in it, has been ignored by academics, bureaucrats, and politicians alike. This book is yet another example of such consistently excellent scholarship.

THE Zombie book

Well written and wonderfully acted, with an all star cast. This is the one that started it all. WW-Z brings the experiences of the world into a single story, each with it’s own personal terrors.

Things I wish I’d written

This isn’t his fiction, but does slay monsters. The book really nailed it on the topic of guns in America. He covers the subject well, and with an in-your-face manner, it is unlike anything else I’ve read on the subject. If you have questions about “gun culture”, or are sick of stupid propaganda about guns and gun ownership, this book lays out the reality of it for you. Thanks Larry! I loved it.

Excellent book

This is a book with both answers and more questions. It is written from the viewpoint of academia but not the ivory tower academia of our supposed “elite” colleges. It is written by a man with over 22 years in the real world trenches as a high school teacher. He has seen firsthand the destruction of both classical liberal education and critical thinking skills. If you have kids in school, about to start school, or are just wondering what in the devil is going on- both in education and the country at large, this book is for you.

Excellent

As usual, Douglas Murray hits a home run. I hope those who are interested in the destruction of western civilization will read this book. They should contemplate what their lives would be like living in what is left. I’m sure the enlightened views of the PRC and the Russian Federation will allow them to deconstruct those societies as well.

An irreverent story
