What did you love best about Friend of the Devil?
Simon Prebble is at his usual best here. I like the way Robinson runs 2 investigations simultaneously.
Any additional comments?
What's with the music at odd times? not even between chapters. and it runs over into the first few words of the following section. Definitely a bad idea. I see they do it again in the next installment.

Really sucks you in

At first I spent a lot of time wondering how the different strands would come together - or even if they would come together. Have faith, they will, and very cleverly. This was my first book by Lovesey bet it won't be my last. Prebble is great with just subtle changes in accent and tone.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Nesbo is one of my favorites and The Bat does a lot to fill in Harry Hole's backstory. The performance is beyond excellent; every voice is appropriate to the character and distinctive. If you've missed this opening volume of the series, go get it, and if you're new to Nesbo, it's the place to start.
