Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

I took this Audible book with me on a trip to Mexico and I absolutely loved it. Seth”s story telling is fantastic and I almost felt like I was just watching his life unfold.

What is going on with the MUSIC that pops up sporadically? It's terrible. Trying to relax to a good audio book - then this Alice in Wonderland insane musical medley sparks up and detracts from Eli's narration. Yikes!

This narrator has a tendency of practically whispering female characters then booming the male characters. I must have missed some dialogue due to this. But I still can't wait to start the next book.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Let's start with the positive - the narrators voice was great - engaging - and pleasant.
Now for the bad.... the translation was so very PG13 that it made me feel dumb. The Burton version I have describes the wives betrayal in the garden ever so much differently that the audio book! I had to stop listening. It is NOT what I have read - and I just couldn't take it anymore!
Has The Arabian Nights turned you off from other books in this genre?

What does Suehyla El Attar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I really enjoyed listening to Suehyla El Attar
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No. It is totally different than the paperback I have in my library.
