Finn McAllister was a normal middle school nerd - now he’s a ghost with a big mystery to solve. One minute, Finn was biking home from school, and the next, he was run off the road by a maniac in a big van. Now, he's a ghost. He can do lots of fun things, like try every ice cream flavor in the store, sneak up on people, and play as many video games as he wants. Finn even has a new ghost friend, Isabella, to show him the ropes. But he also has a lot of big questions, like: Who wanted him dead? And can he stop the maniac from striking again?

Great Gobbily goodness
Revisado: 08-07-21
Good book, nice mildly fantastic story. There are some great character arcs and different points of view. I found some parts of the narrative to drag things out a little. I did enjoy the narrator, he really made the characters come out. I think details of this book would have more weight if I'd read his other books.

epic story, a little too much fluff
Revisado: 02-18-21
This was a bit of a struggle to listen to. Sanderson crafts some of the most amazing plot endings and moments but there is so much other fluff in this book I had a hard time getting through it.

Historia
Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

Great action, sappy characters
Revisado: 07-05-19
the beginning of the story starts out really great but by the end the humor and story begins to drag. I'm hooked in enough into the world to continue but I'd never want to reread this book.

Good Narration, Juvenile character development
Revisado: 07-04-19
This story as a sequel struggles because the characters seem incapable of developing any texture beyond what was presented in the first book. The story itself remains motivating and the narrator is very good.

Great magic details, nerd out on a dungeon crawl
Revisado: 07-01-19
I enjoyed this book. It has a super complex and interesting magic system. Fun polytheistic background story and is very reminiscent of a video game dungeon crawler. You can really nerd out on all the intricacies and reference to those types of game experiences.

Historia
The Skull Throne of Krasia stands empty. Built from the skulls of fallen generals and demon princes, it is a seat of honor and ancient, powerful magic, keeping the demon corelings at bay. From atop the throne, Ahmann Jardir was meant to conquer the known world, forging its isolated peoples into a unified army to rise up and end the demon war once and for all. But Arlen Bales, the Warded Man, stood against this course, challenging Jardir to a duel he could not in honor refuse.

half a story
Revisado: 06-25-17
This is by far the worst book in the series. I've probably skipped half the book. In book 1 there were the story arcs that progressed separately and then meet at the end of the book. These arcs are what drive the series. This book nearly neglects the main character story and instead focuses on boring politicing and lesser characters that are not all that interesting.
