Slutty

If all you are looking for is sex, this is for you, though the scenes are a bit tame. If you are interested in a story to go with it, you will be disappointed. The story line is thin and predictable.

Greg Boudreaux is not at his best with this one. His Asian American dialog is stereotyped and halting.

Buroker weaves multiple story lines and a bundle of characters into coherent and intriguing fantasy.
The narrator does a great job keeping the plots moving forward and developing the characters.

Warning Cliff hanger!

The plot does not resolve in this issue. These story is a 'cliff hanger', requiring purchase of the next book in the series.

I usually like Kai Butler's books. The characters are relatable and have a bit of humor. If not for the nasty use of an unresolved plot, this one would be great as well.

Greg Tremblay is one of the best narrators in this genre.

Something new

I am a big fan of Joel Leslie. He doesn't disappoint with this performance.
The story line is good. A newly created civilization of dragons fits interestingly into a historical earth story line.
There are several substantial sex scenes but they don't overwhelm or distract from the overall story.
The only down point is that this follows an unoriginal setup for connected romances rather than actually exploring the fantasy aspect creatively.

Great Series!

Team Butler and Tremblay have done it again. This sixth book in the San Amaro series shines with all the story and characters the series has to offer.

The only downside is having to wait for the next volume.

Interesting Story but with cliff hangers.

I really like these stories. The basic concept is that a minority of people, 'Latents', are capable of interacting with psychically charged artifacts, which can lead to catastrophic ends for anyone nearby. These artifacts are like a drug with unnatural pull to latents.

The main character is a latent and gay. Ex military, he works for an agency to identify and remove artifacts before they can be a hazard to other latents and the community.

The story is filled with intrigue and suspicion. The hero stumbles through the mysteries of murder and mayhem yearning for, and occasionally hooking up with other sexy investigators.

The story's only failure is that each book spends the last chapter setting the reader up for a cliffhanger. This is irritating and not needed since the basic story is enough to pull the reader to the next book.

Mr. Collins has a rich voice which carries the strong British accents well. I advise listening at a slower speed, say 95%, to enjoy his voice even more while keeping you from missing any of the dialog.

Kai Gracen is the best

This series from Rhys Ford is a favorite of mine. I listen to it at least twice a year, and get something more out of it each time.

Greg Tremblay is a fantastic reader and really brings the characters alive in my head.

The premise of the Fae world and the human world colliding together is fascinating and fun with strange creatures and stranger people!

I want more!

Ridiculous Gay Utopian Family

A shifter and a school teacher meet at a bar.... and they all go to the sea shore.

The two become become instant parents and lovers. Their parenting is cultish and an unrealistic natural talent. Their fated mating is cliche and frustratingly vague, highlighted with the occasional, difficult to explain, sex scene. The whole experience creeped me out with it's wholesomness.

The narration was great. Michael Dean has a rich voice and a nearly flawless performance.

Waste of Time

Michael Mola is a reasonable narrator, and dies a nice job here. Unfortunately the author creates ridiculous characters that don't reasonably interact with each other. By the time you finally get invested in any of the characters, they do something idiotic and annoying.
