Gritty
Revisado: 06-14-24
If if you like nothing but military speak (aka acronyms) you will love this. Personally my mind was doing a constant translation rather than following the storyline. Quickly got tired of the ugly foul language and again lost the storyline. Not for me.

Too chaotic.
Revisado: 02-29-24
There were far too many "wild" scenarios. I understand the point the author was making, and it is heartbreaking, but the story was diverted too many times.

Jeff reveals that after that traumatic, galvanizing morning on the beach, he was compelled to learn more about the man whose life he had saved, convinced that their fates were now entwined.

Revisado: 02-29-24
The best part of this listen is the narrator. Interminal grinding of events were nearly my undoing. But I made it through and the very last sentence was worth the wait.

Good story. Well written and narrated. Worth the time.
Revisado: 02-29-24
This story was full of excitement. Good guys, (and women) villains, talking animals, aliens, intrigue, fantasy…. A good story and I’ve found that I love being read to. I really like the narrator. Easy to listen to.

Revisado: 11-26-21
Just couldn't get into the story. 1st book in this series was mediocre - this one didn't even hit that mark. Narrator is usually fairly good - but it seemed even he couldn't work up any energy for these characters. I'm headed back to books read by Eduardo B.

Not for me.
Revisado: 08-30-21
If you like constant and unrelenting blood and guts...this book is for you. The story line suffers for the massive description of the guns used and the wounds inflicted. Dialogue between characters is childish at times. Couldn't finish the listen as this book isn't for me.

Disappointed By the Narrator Change
Revisado: 09-04-20
The change in the narrator from Ballerini to Callanan was a FAIL for me. The characters changed with the voice and not for the better. Reading rythm-cadence and resonance makes a story. All of Callanan's voices started sounding the same and then he sounded like he was reading into a paper towel tube, That became annoying. Far away and distant and ... well enough said. Turning this story back in for a credit refund. And I so liked Kent Steele.

Historia
Two blood-spattered strangers awake, locked in the trunk of a car - with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what's happened, they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it's 2001 and he's still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it's 2002 and she's still grifting a living from the streets of L.A.

Predictable Storyline
Revisado: 01-09-20
Not the best or fastest paced book I've ever listened too; however, it kept my interest through to the end which had a pretty good twist. The narrator's natural reading voice was fine. Her character voices were irritating.
