Cute holiday romance

I'm a sucker for a holiday romance and this one was fun if not overly festive. I found introvert Alexis very relatable and Gavin is a sweet and sexy cinnamon roll. I enjoyed their banter and her group of friends. The reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that I kept waiting for some bigger reveal of what killed Alexis' crush on Gavin back when they were teenagers but there was never really any payoff there, and although I enjoyed Gavin coming to her rescue once, twice was pushing it and arriving for a third time right at the perfect moment felt contrived.

Dual narration by Emma Wilder and Scott Rose was great.

Great series

Third-person POV and single-narrator narration aren't usually my favorite but these stories are so darn sweet and heartwarming that it made up for it. Sisters Piper and Hannah are very different personalities and their stories are quite different as a result but I enjoyed them both. I wish there had been a little more of Piper supporting Hannah in her story - the lack of it reinforced the idea that Piper is the main character and Hannah a supporting one. Explicit spicy scenes throughout.

Steamy and emotional second chance

I've been waiting for Serena's story and it didn't disappoint. A second chance with a high school flame who's now a smoking hot single dad with an adorable little girl? Yes, please.

I found myself getting more emotional than I expected, especially around the subplot with Serena's father, so anyone else with parental abandonment in their past may want to keep that in mind.

Healing and discovery

This is my favorite of the series so far! I wasn't sure about Paige in the earlier books since she seemed a little uptight but being inside her head made her much easier to understand and relate to. I loved how open and plainspoken she is. Wyatt was also easy to like and my heart hurt for what he's been through. Although he makes some mistakes, they're understandable given his past and I was happy to see him own up to them and adjust his outlook on life.

The dual narration by Heather Firth and Neill Thorne is excellent.

Sweet story of healing

I didn't expect Asha's story to be one of my favorites, but this ended up being a beautiful story of loss and healing. Asha's pain made me emotional several times, and I liked her friendship with Claire a lot. The dual narration was as excellent as always for this series.

Grumpy/sunshine with some miscommunication

Finn doesn't want to mix business and pleasure, but when Ashley shows up to redesign the tasting room at his new winery, he has a hard time keeping the two separate. When they end up temporarily living in close quarters, lines get even more blurred. Ashley has her own reasons for being hesitant about relationships, but she's more open to the possibility than he is, even when he's grouchy and surly with her.

I'm not sure about the advice her friends gave her that 'he's nice to everyone except you, so that must mean he likes you', even if it turns out to be true in this case! But Finn could be very sweet when he got his head out of his a$$ and I see why Ashley falls for him. The lack of communication comes back to bite them, as you know it will, but everything ends happily.

Overall, a low-angst, sweet story with great dual narration from Heather Firth and Neill Thorne.

Angsty, messy romance

I wanted to love this book but the characters frustrated me too much. They were terrible at communicating and in the end, I didn't feel convinced they should end up together.

Great slow burn, small town romance

Marriage of convenience, single dad and a grumpy hero? Yes, please! I loved the story and the characters, especially Noah and Gennie. It took Shay a loooong time to see what was in front of her face, but the payoff was very satisfying.

Great dual narration by Jason Clarke and Kit Swann. I would definitely listen to this one again!

Swoony fake dating

New vet in town Jackson needs to convince his boss that he's planning to stick around for a while. Bakery owner Mila wants her friends and brother off her back about working too much. The two soon decide on a fake dating arrangement that will ease the pressure on them both while letting them spend time together as friends. Of course, it doesn't take long for things to get a little more complicated...

I really liked Mila and how she knew what she wanted out of life and knew her own worth. Jackson took me a little longer to warm up to, but he had his reasons for refusing to get too close to anyone. By the time they got together for real, I was hooked. I wish he hadn't gone quite so hard on the misunderstanding, that was a bit hard to stomach, but Mila handled it very maturely (more maturely than I would have!).

Dual narration by Heather Firth and Neill Thorne was very well done and really enjoyable to listen to.

Small-town romance

Summer moves back to the small town of Dogwood Cove when her father dies and leaves her a property outside town. She left the town as a child but has fond memories of the place, and she soon falls back in with her childhood best friend and that friend's older brother, now the mayor of the town. There's a supporting group of characters that help to round out the cast and a cozy bakery, book store and dance studio - the perfect small town! :)

This is a best friend's brother romance with a good dash of spice thrown in! The attraction between Summer and Ethan is immediate and their journey to a happy ending is relatively low-angst and very sweet. I would have preferred a tiny bit more tension before they made their feelings known to each other, but that might just be me. The dual narration by Heather Firth and Grayson Owens is very well done and made this a pleasure to listen to.
