I've been a fan since 1970, and I thought by now I had heard all there was to know about James Taylor in his early recording years.
It turns out that there is so much more that I didn't know, and I suspect most folks around my age (67) who started listening to him then will feel the same way. His narration will sound a little too low-key at first, but very soon he will sound like he's sitting next to you, telling you his story...and it's unbelievable how much life he lived--and he's not even 21 yet!
If you love James Taylor, you will love this!

As a fellow Washingtonian since 1970 I could personally relate to the great stories & memories shared here in this great book...
As a big fan of music and radio, wherever you might be, you'll love Cerphe's first-person telling of life as a like-minded youth, and then through the years to now. There are probably many similar stories to be told all across the USA, but this is special, spoken by a man with the same passion others might have, but more so by a man able to communicate so well.
I absolutely recommend this book...and if you haven't read Bruce Springsteen's autobiography, well, you will make that your next read for sure!
Great job Cerphe!
