Ugh.

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?
Neither. I will avoid both going forward.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Annoyance. Regret. Disappointment.
Any additional comments?
Reading an email, including subject lines, dates and time sent is something I rarely do on my own email.Hearing Becca Battoe read out loud dozens of fictional emails, including recipient, subject, time and date wanted to make me find E.L James and slap her, for thinking that was appropriate "filler" for an already awful book. The narrator's voice, cringeworthy. The subject matter she had to read would make a high school English teacher cry.I'll be avoiding both E.L. James and Becca Battoe forever. Becca Battoe seem completely unfamiliar with normal, American English speech cadence, and patterns. There were pauses where commas would not be in the written version, unnatural lifts and lows throughout, and all male characters sounded the same.I am Canadian and completely used to the uplift in vocal tone at the end of a sentence. It throws me off when these ups and lows alternate in the same sentence for no apparent reason.

I did enjoyy Pamela Gellar's thoroughly researched compilation and her well argued virewpoint. I hated the narrator screaming and yellinng for hours. Her tone was loud, argumentative and unpleasant,. Her histronics were worthy of a network legal drama that would get cancelled after two or three episodes. Her narration was way off the mark for people that would give this book. That audience is roughly divided into those that feel Islam is a threat to the west and those who are still trying to gather more sources before forming an opinion. "Quote/unquote". That is annoying and distracting. i think it is "end quote".
