Enjoyed it!
Revisado: 05-01-25
This was an enjoyable story from beginning to end! I really the Agatha Christie vibes. The different red herrings kept me guessing. I definitely didn’t see the whodunnit reveal coming! I ended up listening to the audiobook version. I really enjoyed both of the narrators takes on their characters. I would definitely read this one again!

Beautiful!
Revisado: 06-26-24
You know when you pick up a book by Amanda Dykes, you are going to be swept away into a beautiful story. Her writing is lyrical and brings her story to life. Her characters are so realistic and deep. Mercy and Rusty are simply amazing characters. They faced hard situations. I loved the second chance thread. This story was simply beautiful. It’s a must read!

DNF

I was excited to read this one. The description sounded good and it was on a really good sale on audible. I figured I would give it a shot. I ended up DNF’ing this one. It seemed to drag for me. I lost interest about halfway through it. The narrator was really good though.

The story is good, narration not so much
Revisado: 04-26-21
This was my first time reading a book by this author. I tried the audiobook. While the story was very descriptive and intriguing, I was pulled out of it by the narrator’s voice. I’m not sure how to describe it other than that she sounded too sweet and happy for this kind of story. I really enjoyed Abby and Jim and reading their story! I liked this book more than I thought I would since this isn’t my go to time period. I would definitely recommend the book, but not the audiobook. I wouldn’t mind going back and reading the paperback for myself.
