Flake, the legendary keyboardist for the German band Rammstein, takes listeners on a journey of what it is to be a touring musician. The excitement, the boredom, the moments that will be remembered and those that are forgotten. It's the World's Birthday Today is a strange and moody book about life on the road.

Better than I Could Ever Imagine
Revisado: 03-06-23
It was awesome hearing the voice in Flake's head. The random thoughts and experiences he's had are fascinating. I love the stories of the interaction between the band members and the clear affection he has for them. If you're a fan of Rammstein, please listen to this book. I was also impressed with the narrator. He gave Flake's words a voice and personality. Bravo!

Historia
Librarian Janet Johnson is puzzled when she is invited - and practically dragged - to her first meeting of the Rejected Writers' Book Club. This quirky group of women would much rather celebrate one another's rejected manuscripts over cups of tea and slices of lemon cake than actually publish a book. But good friends are exactly what Janet needs after moving to the small town of Southlea Bay, Washington.

I had a bit of a hard time getting into this at first but the storyline and characters grew on me. I did enjoy the fact that I didn't figure it out until near the end of the book. I'll definitely listen to the next book.

Couldn't stop listening!
Revisado: 10-11-20
This was my first Danielle Stewart book I've ever "read" or listened to. Wow! I'm hooked! The storyline progressed quickly. The characters are likeable, relatable and believable.
Janelle Tedesco narrated this book beautifully. She was able to give each character their own voice. Janelle is one of my favorite narrators and always portrays the characters in a way that a listener can "visualize".
I cannot wait for book 2!
