Short. Waste of A Credit

I did not realize the book was only an hour. The story line was hard to grasp and the writer could have done more to build the story up. I have listened to other books by this author and this was an unusual disappointment.

This is only 4 hrs long, more like a synopsis of the story. There is a second book with the same title that is 7 hours long. Initially, I didn't notice it was a short story because I purchased it as preorder. Once the book was released, I saw that there was two versions. So basically I wasted two credits because I ended up purchasing the full book. This is very deceptive and not the first time it has happened with a James Paterson book. Audible needs to correct this.

Die Hard Fan... But

The storyline was not bad but, the beginning scene where couple was held hostage drug on way too long. The most frustrating part is that they had ample opportunity to get to a phone and call the police, but kept getting distracted. Really!?!? As a reader I instinctively root for the victims. However, because it was carried out so long, I started to not care what happened. Also the story was a little hard to follow once it took a turn. Not his best work.

Started Out Suspenseful & Interesting But Then..,,

The book started off on a good note. It kept my attention because of the mystery and suspense. However, there seemed to be alot of obscenely describe scenes. Possibly that is the sign of a good author, considering that I could visualize some of the scenes? Not sure. I was a little creeped out by some of the methods of torture describe in the book. Who thinks of this stuff? I will more than likely never listen to this Author again. There need to be a warning about the obscenity or put some kind "listener's discretion is advised" in the description.
