Loved this book

Reaffirms where I’ve already been headed, I’ve already met the one of many/the many of one as a sun filled and made of many individual souls, already know how to send intense waves of love energy from crown to toe. This book appears to have been written for me, the last information I’ve sought and am now putting in practice.

This guy is spot on with everything

Great stuff, but for most, likely holds far more weight if you have been on the same journey for over 20 years. Until you have lived life long enough and explored enough of this on your own first, this may not be a pill you can swallow yet.

The truth of our reality is far more than our current level of hard physics can come close to confirm or even ponder, yet true.

A Scientist fights mystic ignorance

I was turned off in the first minute of listening to this audio book, Jim Al-Khalili immediately goes into taking the high ground as a modern high priest (a scientist who knows true reality) as he slaps down individuals who see deeper connections to reality through quantum physics than science is ready, or willing to admit yet.

Good job starting out that way Jim, you lost your chance at an attempt to convert me to your "high ground" views. You should bury that deeper into the book so I listen to your viewpoints for awhile before being turned off to you.

I hoped for more than a audio diary

While I have no problem with the authors ability, this comes off as more like an audio diary than anything. Not interested, after an hour gave up on it.

Great movie, better book!

Where does What Dreams May Come rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks number one! Although a novel, I believe the authors research regarding the afterlife was sound, bringing much more to my understanding than I had from any other source, including NDE reports.

What did you like best about this story?

I can't say what I liked best, it was all so good.

What about Robertson Dean’s performance did you like?

Great, does a wonderful job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, of course.

See the movie first, then listen to this audio book. This book is far better than the movie which is also great. The story line is different in the book than the movie, but that does not make it any less an awesome book, better in many ways.

Throughout "beloved one"

I tried to listen to this and it was fine except continually throughout the author keeps referring to the reader as "beloved one". I had enough of this from the original I AM Activity or Saint Germain Foundation teachings from my youth. I tire of such meaningless reference to someone the author doesn't even know, I cannot listen to this anymore!

Not what I expected

A nice story but not what I expected, I literally expected to hear a story about how our sun might really have spiritual aspects to it and yes, they did draw many parallels to that. While listening I began to wonder if the author was making veiled statements saying exactly that, that our sun is a spiritual center which some might consider a kind of God for us, but overall I think those parallels were to teach rather than to infer such, maybe... still not sure.

I was attracted to this book because of a dream I had in 1996 where I met a sun-intelligence-God who had no face but I felt it smiling at me, loving me. During that dream I knew I had met God but more than that I felt I had met a collective of all souls which were all one, I also realized they were all me and I was them except somehow individual. That experience affected me to my core, after that there were no races, no male and female, I was one with all and they were one with me. I saw all of us as sons of soul and souls of sun, that sun, that light, that intelligent oneness I felt was God which we are all a part of.

You can google Sun of Souls, Souls of Sun and find that story if you want to read it but I'm not writing this review for the purpose of promoting that story, but that is why I purchased this audio book. I felt purchasing and listening to this book was worth while and an easy listen, I like it, even if it wasn't what I first expected. This book was obviously written by a very gentle man with a nice heart, that comes through very clearly.

Regeneration of the old I AM Activity?

Seems much like a regeneration of the old I AM Activity of the Saint Germain Foundation of Chicago, Ill. Not my cup of tea, thought I might like it but it is just too much like the church I was raised in and Mrs. "Momma" Ballard I knew as a teen. Maybe they believe they are actually in contact and speaking for Ascended Masters but I rather think they have convinced themselves this is the reality rather than what is really happening. ....And here you are... I was annoyed from the start when she kept saying that phrase over and over... maybe it comes off well in print or in person but not so well in audio. Maybe my lacking to be a little irritated by such, my own issue and not hers, but there it is, how I felt.

I don't yet know what to think or believe of such, Elizabeth Prophet did much of this same thing, built a religion around the old I AM Activity materials, going as far as stealing the copyright of their founding book "The I AM Presence" by filing for copyright right under the noses of the Saint Germain foundation who were remiss in making sure it had been protected. Says something about Elizabeth Prophet, doesn't it?

I'm a bit turned off by much of this kind of thing and people who claim to voice the thoughts and communications of "Ascended Masters". I grew up in a religion which played on that for years and years and have come to see the severe flaws they had in their teachings... yet, at their core I think they have a lot right, a lot very right, wonderful core... just the Ascended Master angle which turns me off because I just don't buy much of it, wish I could, I dearly wish I could.

I didn't think I'd like it and I was right

Too painful to listen to for very long, slow and difficult to follow. Unless you are a student of this man I'd avoid buying this.
