Workbook and Planner Needed
Revisado: 11-15-22
I was so caught up with this piece and the way
Mr. Hart masterfully shared his own experiences to make the monsters real and relatable.
Because I listened during a commute, I wasn't able to take notes on how to tame these monsters. I plan to share and recommend this book as a planning tool to better understand the energy we ourselves fuse into situations that often spark and spiral out of control.

Beyond the Bites
Revisado: 02-06-22
A bit predictable, this sensual and steamy piece pulls you in with visual descriptions and questionable friendships. That Maury bite, though... The shocking behaviors... Great narrator!

Historia
Lakshmi is a thirteen-year-old girl who lives with her family in a small hut on a mountain in Nepal. Though she is desperately poor, her life is full of simple pleasures, like playing hopscotch with her best friend from school and having her mother brush her hair by the light of an oil lamp. A Story to Tell

So detailed and emotional. The narrator drew us into her story...her pain. It was hard but there were times when overwhelming emotions made us take pause.

Wowed by the Waves
Revisado: 11-24-21
The narrator quickly drew me in--making me feel as if I was part of the story. The life she gave to the characters and scenes, through tones, speed, rhythm and pitch had my my heart racing one instant and weeping another .
The descriptions of characters, clothing and places were fantastic. The only thing better was the story itself and how it unfolded at the end! I plan to seek out more works by this talented team of educating and entertaining artists!!

Historia
In her heralded first novel, Gloria Naylor weaves together the stories of seven women living in Brewster Place, a bleak-inner city sanctuary, creating a powerful, moving portrait of the strengths, struggles, and hopes of black women in America. Vulnerable and resilient, openhanded and openhearted, these women forge their lives in a place that in turn threatens and protects—a common prison and a shared home. Naylor renders both loving and painful human experiences with simple eloquence and uncommon intuition in this touching and unforgettable listen.

Lost
Revisado: 09-20-21
I wanted to enjoy this book. I wanted to relate to this book. I neither enjoyed nor fully related to this book.. There we re some great scenes near the end but there was also a great void. Felt that the story was dragged out (in too many directions) with a hasty ending that left too many questions unanswered. Too many male parts to not consider a man as an additional narrator.
