Historia
I used to be Ellis Landon. Ordinary at best. And literally haunted. But now I'm Ryker's Firestarter. Levi's Dangerous Girl. Jacob's Princess. Funny how different love will make you. Stronger. Braver. Bound and free, all at once. Pursued by demons and by the company that would imprison us to unlock the secrets of the Far, we have to find the Fourth. The last member of my harem. Together, we'll be a force to be reckoned with. Together, we'll protect my mother and rescue my sister from the dark afterlife. Together with my harem, I'll never be unloved and unwanted again.

This was a fabulous continuation of the first book. It is definitely engaging. I stayed up late to finish it because I couldn't turn it off.

Historia
I did not order the extra slice of Armageddon to go with my midlife crisis. Apparently, if you’re an Immortal, it comes free of charge. I have until sundown tomorrow to get to a parallel plane of existence, save my family, and kick bad-guy butt all before the world ends. Impossible, right? Not according to my posse of whackado buddies. They like to remind me that nothing is impossible as long as I believe. Well, I’m about to be the mother of all believers.

Historia
Talking about death and dying is considered taboo in polite company, and even in the medical field. Our ideas about dying are confusing at best: Will our memories flash before our eyes? Regrets consume our thoughts? Does a bright light appear at the end of a tunnel? For most people, it will be a slower process, one eased with preparedness, good humor, and a bit of faith. At the forefront of changing attitudes around palliative care is hospice nurse Hadley Vlahos, who shows that end-of-life care can teach us just as much about how to live as it does about how we die.

Revisado: 07-21-23
I learned about this book through Hadley's videos, which really touched me. I am very selective about what books I buy, but I knew I had to listen to it. I am so glad that I did! The fact that it is read by the author makes it so much more poignant. It is equal parts heartbreaking amd uplifting, I love how she weaves her own story in with the stories of her patients. I cried my eyes out, but I came away with a feeling of affirmation. This book is completely worth experiencing!

I thoroughly enjoyed this continuation of the story of Abe and his family. A mystery runs through it, but at its heart, it is the story of a loving family.

Historia
Michael Hiebert’s remarkable debut novel tells the riveting story of a small Southern town haunted by tragedy. Abe Teal wasn’t even born when Ruby Mae Vickers went missing twelve years ago. Few people in Alvin, Alabama, talk about the months spent looking for her, or about how Ruby Mae’s lifeless body was finally found beneath a willow tree. Even Abe’s mom, Leah, Alvin’s only detective, has avoided the subject. But now, another girl is missing.

Irritating characters and a disappointing ending
Revisado: 12-15-22
The characters in this book all require a big shake. Most of the adults are self-centered and/or blind to what's going on around them. I really hated a few of them. The children are stereotypes. The ending was very unsatisfying as it left a lot unresolved. if you like the author and it's free, go for it. I would not waste a credit on it.

Not as good as the previous ones
Revisado: 05-13-21
While it was still wonderful to be back with the characters that I have grown to love, the story felt a little stilted and not as well-written as the previous books. It almost seemed as though someone else had written it. The interactions between Jack and Penny did not have the same playful sarcasm mixed with growing affection as before. I also found the audio performance to be lacking. The accents and different voices for the different characters were much better in the previous instalments. This one fell short. Still, overall, it was an enjoyable book and a nice continuation of the story.

Historia
Daphne Marriott strolls into Clover Ridge and informs librarian Carrie Singleton that she's a psychic. But if she had foreseen what fate awaited her, Daphne would have steered clear of the quaint Connecticut town. Evelyn, the library ghost, tells Carrie that there's more to Daphne than she lets on. The mysterious woman grew up in Clover Ridge with her no-good dad, who apparently met his end at the hands of Daphne's brother, Billy. Still, Daphne proves a welcome distraction when Carrie's overbearing mother hits town. Mom's much younger husband, Tom, is in a movie that's lensing locally.
