Historia
It's been over three months since my friends and I took down Cyrus. Three months where my biggest fear was what paper was due next . . . But I should have known it was too good to last. Now everything is falling apart. The Vampire Court has no king, the Dragon Court has no heart, and the Gargoyle Court has me—a teenager in way over her head. And it's the worst possible timing, because a threat is brewing just as the Circle is collapsing. I have no choice but to return to the Shadow Realm and face the terrifying queen who nearly ended us . . . and make a deal with her to save Mekhi.

Not the story I expected
Revisado: 10-27-23
I'm still very bothered by the difference between the first few books and the last 2 books, they pronounce Mckee's name different. I'm not sure what the actual spelling is (audio) but it drove me nuts any time someone talked about him. I loved his character in the first few books, but almost wishing he would die, so they would stop saying his name.
The ending felt like it rushed so much into the last couple of chapters (most chapters were to short) and ended abruptly. The work up to who would take over as vampire king & queen, was done in two sentences, if that.
I loved these books but I felt cheated out of a decent wrap up. I really would have loved to see more of Smokey. She was my favorite.

Historia
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through. Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us. And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

The narrator changed a name
Revisado: 09-11-23
I have been listening through all the Crave series and have loved every one of them until this one. The book & story are awesome. But the narrator changed Mckee's name in the 4th book. I was so thrown by it that it actually made the book less enjoyable than the first 3 books. I don't understand how that could have been missed by the publishers and author, moreless the narrator.
Other than that error the book of as good. I'm starting cherish next and can't wait to see what she calls him in this book. Sorry I guess I'm not over it.

Historia
Lurking beneath the progressive activism and sex positivity in the 1970 to '80s, a dark undercurrent of violence rippled across the American landscape. With reported cases of sexual assault and homicide on the rise, the FBI created a specialized team - the “Mindhunters”, better known as the Behavioral Science Unit - to track down the country's most dangerous criminals. And yet narrowing down a seemingly infinite list of potential suspects seemed daunting at best and impossible at worst - until Dr. Ann Wolbert Burgess stepped on the scene.

I listen to many crime podcasts and have heard this book mentions in a few. I am so glad I listened. It is amazing how you really don't understand why they do what they do. This helped. Definitely recommend it.

Great storyline, disappointed in some pieces
Revisado: 02-22-22
I loved all 3 books. The story anyway. I was so disappointed in how the author made the cops and FBI agents kind of terrible at their jobs. But it did make the story keep going. Great performance in narrating. At the first book "say your sorry", I was so creeped out by the bad guy that I almost stopped listening. My daughter pointed out that he was after all the bad guy. After that it was great to hear how creepy he was. So excellent job to the narrator.

Historia
Seventeen years ago. That was the last time Mercy Callahan saw Ephraim Burton, the leader of the twisted Eden cult where she was raised. But even though she escaped the abuse and terror, they continue to haunt her. When her brother Gideon discovers new evidence of the cult's - and their victims' - whereabouts, Mercy goes to Sacramento to reconnect with him. There, she meets Gideon's closest friend - homicide detective Rafe Sokolov. From Rafe, she receives an offer she never knew she needed: to track down Ephraim and make him pay for everything.

I'm hooked! But a little upset at the same time.
Revisado: 02-10-22
I'm upset that the cops and FBI agents are so terrible and unprepared for this type of work. In the first book a radio personality was a better shot than the trained professionals. In this book more of that. I love you ve the story and I'm hooked. But cops are more prepared than they were book. It keeps you sucked in but I really wish they didn't make the cops and FBI so incompetent.

Historia
There is a serial killer on the loose preying on vulnerable women. The only identifiable mark the killer leaves are letters - sometimes one, sometimes two - all carved into the torsos of his victims. Together, they spell “Sydney”. When he grabs Daisy Dawson, he believes he has found his next victim. But despite her small stature, she fights back with an expertise that quickly frees her. Before fleeing the scene, Daisy also manages to grab what proves to be crucial evidence: a necklace from around the killer’s neck.

On the edge of my seat.
Revisado: 01-26-22
I was a little put off by the voices. There was one that was so creepy, I almost couldn't listen anymore. Since my daughter read this book and told me to give it a listen, I yelled at her for it. She read the book and didn't know the audio would be creepy. But she said he is a bad guy, so you don't want him to sound nice. After that I realized the creepiness was perfect. I can't wait to start the next book. I'm from the Sacramento area and all these places I know personally. That's why I was upset about the girls walking home on J Street. That's the worst street and most of at dangerous in Sac.

Historia
Autumn brings its own haunting beauty to the sun-soaked beaches and dunes on Isle of Palms, where Olivia “Lovie” Rutledge lives in her beloved Primrose Cottage with her daughter, Cara. Looking back as summer fades, Lovie can remember many island summers, but especially one. . . .In 1974, America was changing, but Charleston remained eternally the same. Lovie had always done what was expected — marrying the son of a historic Charleston family, Stratton Rutledge, and turning over her fortune and fate to his control. But one thing she steadfastly refuses to relinquish: her family’s old seaside cottage. The precious summers spent on the barrier island are Lovie’s refuge. Here, she can escape with her children from the social expectations of her traditional Southern mother, and her overbearing husband’s ambition and philandering. Here, she indulges her lifelong vocation as a “Turtle Lady,” tending the loggerhead sea turtles that lay their eggs in the warm night sand and then slip back into the sea. This summer, however, is different. Visiting biologist Russell Bennett arrives on the island to research the loggerheads. What begins as a shared passion for the turtles changes to a love far more passionate and profound than Lovie has ever known — but one that forces her to face the most agonizing decision of her life. For Charleston’s elite, divorce is an unforgivable scandal, and Stratton’s influence is far-reaching. If Lovie dares to dream beyond a summer affair, she risks losing everything: her reputation, her wealth, even her precious children.Beach House Memories — a poignant and emotional tale of a strong, passionate woman torn between duty and desire, between the traditions of the old South and the social changes sweeping America — will capture your heart. For Lovie, it is an empowering journey of seasons of self-discovery. Until this autumn, this time of changing tides, of holding on and letting go. . . .“This luminous tale — set in the South Carolina Lowcountry that we both love so deeply — was hard to put down. Fans of The Beach House will at last discover what happened during the summer of 1974. But readers new to Mary Alice Monroe need not worry, for this emotional story of love and loss stands alone.” — New York Times bestselling author Dorothea Benton Frank

This series was perfect start to finish
Revisado: 01-05-22
I listened to these books and was mesmerized from book 1, the beach house, to the last words of the series book 4, beach house memoirs. These books spoke of the love of a mother, a woman, and a turtle lady. Lovey was a strong influencer of logger head turtles and over many years she trained her turtle crews and her name will carry on. These books told her story, and what a beautiful story it was. Good, bad and every thing in between.

Historia
FBI Agent Nell Flynn hasn't been home in 10 years. Nell and her father, Homicide Detective Martin Flynn, have never had much of a relationship. When Martin Flynn dies in a motorcycle accident, Nell returns to the house she grew up in so that she can spread her father's ashes and close his estate. At the behest of her father's partner, Detective Lee Davis, Nell becomes involved in an investigation into the murders of two young women in Suffolk County. The further Nell digs, the more likely it seems to her that her father should be the prime suspect.

I love a book that gets me so tangled up in that I can't put it down, but at the same time I don't want it to end. This was one of those. The author did an excellent job, as did the narrator. Great book.
