Historia
At the dawn of the 20th century, a great confidence suffused America. Isaac Cline was one of the era's new men, a scientist who believed he knew all there was to know about the motion of clouds and the behavior of storms. The idea that a hurricane could damage the city of Galveston, Texas, where he was based, was to him preposterous, "an absurd delusion." It was 1900, a year when America felt bigger and stronger than ever before. Nothing in nature could hobble the gleaming city of Galveston, then a magical place that seemed destined to become the New York of the Gulf.

This book was boring. My book club chose this title/Auther. I don’t recommend this.

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Not amusing. Keep her vulgar word to herself
Revisado: 03-14-23
I wish I could have returned this book. What a waste of my time. I feel the author can get a message across without overboard vulgarity. Don't waste your time!

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

His Life journey brought him courage …
Revisado: 03-08-23
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Prince Harry’s life journey.
He was groomed to live like a soldier: take orders, defend and believe in your superiors.
Then came the season in life to take his courage and break away and experience freedom on his terms!
His story inspires and allowed me to hear his truth. I say to Prince Harry; “Your Mummy would be proud of you!”

An awareness of our birth right
Revisado: 02-25-23
As humans we are given a birth right “to choose”. Dr. Miller research brings to light how man can embrace self and make a difference for the world around him and self shall benefit.
This book has a lot of intellectual jargon but is a great source of information.
I’m glad that I got through the jargon to hear the benefits of Awakened Brain.

Christians today face a dilemma: In a world that seems to reject everything we believe, how do we walk closely with God without caving to pressure or alienating those we hope to reach? In this eye-opening new book, Chris Hodges provides a solution by examining the life of the prophet Daniel, who persevered in a corrupt culture that closely resembles our own — and emerged as an influential force in God’s redemptive plan.

I didn’t think I could get through this biography; the hardship of a little girl was overwhelming. But I said to myself; “her life was important, listen to how children can survive when there are “angels” in their lives.
“Ms. Pat, you have inspired me to be an angel to a young person and give love. Thank you for sharing your story.”
