Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

It was tough to listen to from the opening. I was angry, disgusted and other feelings I can't quite identify. Which proves how well it was written. Bravo. Even the narrators voice amplified my feelings. Good schtuff..

Awful narration
Revisado: 06-30-16
The narrators voice droning along, nearly mechanically. Horrible. Going to suffer through this book, but I won't buy another with this narrator. My 8 year old reads with more feeling and depth.

Historia
Han Solo should be basking in his moment of glory. After all, the cocky smuggler and captain of the Millennium Falcon just played a key role in the daring raid that destroyed the Death Star and landed the first serious blow to the Empire in its war against the Rebel Alliance. But after losing the reward his heroics earned him, Han's got nothing to celebrate. Especially since he's deep in debt to the ruthless crime lord Jabba the Hutt. There's a bounty on Han's head - and if he can't cough up the credits, he'll surely pay with his hide. The only thing that can save him is a king's ransom. Or maybe a gangster's fortune?

a peek at the history of our favorite scoundrels
Revisado: 09-13-13
Where does Scoundrels: Star Wars rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The story is pretty good along the lines of other non-series stories. While it was a bit slow through out the story, it's still good reading/listening.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Scoundrels: Star Wars?
The most memorable moment for me was when the link between Han, Leia and the introduction of Winter into the storyline.
Have you listened to any of Marc Thompson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Marc Thompson's voice never fails to produce a rich variety of believable voices the truly help breathe life into the characters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There's a point when you realize the roots and depths of the rocky relationship between Han and Lando.
Any additional comments?
Good story in keeping with the new direction the Star Wars Universe is going to take (in the movies atleast) of going back to the root stories and histories of the main characters.

a view of the inner workings of the sith
Revisado: 12-01-12
What made the experience of listening to Star Wars: Darth Plagueis the most enjoyable?
i enjoyed the development of all the characters. with the primary characters fully fleshed out the story had real depth to it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Star Wars: Darth Plagueis?
the realization that the characters were not truly "evil" just completely amoral. there is a fine line and they don't seem to cross it. as "mystical" people, force users can be very scientific in their views of the universe.
Any additional comments?
the book was at times slow and seemingly ponderous, but that's how the sith operate. as slow as cancer and thrice as deadly.
