It’s an ad for all the stuff she sells
Revisado: 03-04-25
It’s mostly the same law of attraction that you can find anywhere for free but with the authors personal experience. I expect if any one of us write a book and stick it in the self help section you too will be rich because people have to pay you BEFORE they get the info. Also author adds all the next steps to purchase at her website if “you’re really serious about making money”. The author has made her money by selling these programs. This is the key to all these “I can make you rich” people. Write books even if it’s fluff and create programs with old info because people will make you rich before realizing they are learning nothing except to do this, write books and create fluff websites and on and on.

Historia
To serial slayer Andrew Compton, murder is an art, the most intimate art. After feigning his own death to escape from prison, Compton makes his way to the United States with the sole ambition of bringing his “art” to new heights. Tortured by his own perverse desires, and drawn to possess and destroy young boys, Compton inadvertently joins forces with Jay Byrne, a dissolute playboy who has pushed his “art” to limits even Compton hadn’t previously imagined.

Gay Porn recommended to me by Audible 🤨
Revisado: 09-22-24
So this book was a suggestion by audible after I finished The Girl Next Door. I read the reviews of this book and I do love gross and disturbing and you will get that with this book. However not realizing it was written like an adult magazine feature of the month, I’m listening to it because I try to finish all books I buy.

Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Based on a true story. Heartbreaking
Revisado: 09-19-24
This true story has haunted me for years, the true story of Sylvia Likens. I read the transcripts from the court trials and appalled that these kids, now adults are walking free amongst us. The author captured the horrific facts and when you think things can’t get worse they do. This isn’t scary movie horror, it’s real life horror where humans are worse than monsters. I recommend this book, this girls story should never be forgotten.

Another great story by this lovely Author!
Revisado: 08-14-24
This is the second book I’ve listened to by this Author and she is now one of the most suggested to others by me. I love that you really get to know the characters ands care what happens to them. Again with this book, like the previous book, I kept thinking I knew where the story was headed but again I was wrong each turn, which I really like the surprise. The voice actress is now my favorite, I will be seeking out every book she narrates

Infinite stars for this book!!
Revisado: 08-08-24
I am a fan of historical fiction and this book didn’t disappoint. It was so hard to put it down. I also loved that I couldn’t guess how it would unfold, every time I thought the story would go one way it went the other. The author went into great detail that leaves you with a very clear picture of the likable, love able & hate able characters. I was stressed out a good portion of the book so I guess that’s a great example of the authors description of what was happening with each character. I hope this book is made into a movie!! It will be on my favorites list and I can see myself listening to it many times. The performance was PERFECTION!!! I will seek out every performance this voice author has done. There aren’t enough stars available that I would rate this book and performance.

The pair drive to a remote Kentucky campground with a strange and sordid history. Within the confines of the Swan Creek State Park are the ruins of a town abandoned under terrifying circumstances in the 19th century. Finally an original idea!
Revisado: 08-16-23
Such a great book! The story was original and the author let us get to know all the characters which seems rare nowadays. It held my attention the whole time so i listened all the way through in one sitting. The story was creepy and it didnt copy any movie or book that i am familiar with so it has a very good story and ending. i will need to look up more from this perfect narrator and this great author!

Historia
On a sunny morning in May 1939, a phalanx of 867 women - housewives, doctors, opera singers, politicians, prostitutes - was marched through the woods 50 miles north of Berlin, driven on past a shining lake, then herded in through giant gates. Whipping and kicking them were scores of German women guards. Their destination was Ravensbrück, a concentration camp designed specifically for women by Heinrich Himmler, prime architect of the Holocaust.

One of the best written & narrated books!!
Revisado: 08-02-23
I probably wouldn't have been able to get thr through this book by actually reading it because of so many people described in it but listening to it read by the best narrator made this one of the best books ive ever listened to. The author describes these peoples stories from the actual victims. I appreciated not being beaten over the head with how bad Nazi's were and the author let the actions described speak on that. ALL people from ALL backgrounds did unspeakable things and I asked myself many times what i would have done if in that situation. I appreciated that the author was confident in her writing and didnt feel the need to push any ideal or judgement for the actions taken by all of these in the book. I only know of one other book by this author and will listen to it next. Hopefully there are more that im not aware of yet. This is in my top 5 fav. of all time. Narrator is the best ive heard!

Historia
In 1940, the German sons and daughters of infamous Nazi dignitaries Himmler, Göring, Hess, Frank, Bormann, Speer, and Mengele were children of privilege at four, five, or 10 years old, surrounded by affectionate, all-powerful parents. Although innocent and unaware of what was happening at the time, they eventually discovered the extent of their fathers' occupations: These men were leaders of the Third Reich and would later be convicted as monstrous war criminals.

"The families knew nothing" should be the title
Revisado: 08-02-23
This book had potential with the subject matter but what ruined it for me was the constant beating the reader over the head with her view of NAZI's. The author didn't give her readers the benefit of forming their own opinions and felt the need to inject awkward negative opinions about these famous Nazi's that didn't add to the story at all. Also, the author made it clear she thought that the families and generations after should pay for what their Nazi family members did and should forever feel the guilt or shame for atrocities they were not part of. The authors opinion that NAZI idealism & the violence that went with it can and will be in the actual blood of descendants, which is not true. I believe the children of the 3rd Reich, which there were thousands, lived like normal children as any child of any service member nowadays. The 3rd Reich children were shamed into taking on the burden of what their parents did and paid the price by having breakdowns and mental disorders brought by people who wanted revenge but weren't able to take revenge on the actual perpetrators. Hind sight will always be 20 20.

Pain, horror, fear - these are the things that have comprised best-selling novelist Lance Metzger's life. His childhood remains a riddled wasteland of abuse by a sadistic father and abandonment by an apathetic mother. In turn his only refuge became his writing. When Lance loses his ability to write and becomes haunted by a nightmare that he'd thought was buried, he is drawn inexplicably to a house on the shores of Lake Superior, where he finds his muse once again - but something is waiting for him when he arrives.

Suspenseful !! I really enjoyed this one!
Revisado: 07-06-23
Once you get past the narrators way of short quick speaking the story itself draws you in. This one kept me guessing trying to figure out how each character will play a roll in the end. I like that you really get to know the characters and you care what happens to them. Very suspenseful! I was hooked all the way through.
