Randy Rainbow 🌈 I just love you
Revisado: 03-18-25
Shockingly I never really got into social media. So I was late to discovering Randy Rainbow. I don’t know how I found him but one day I saw one of his videos and I was hooked. I didn’t even realize he’d been making videos for so long. I missed so many fortunately I now subscribed to his YouTube channel and I can go back and watch from the beginning. And wow, I am really enjoying that. I can’t believe no one told me about Randy before I discovered him in 2024.
Well, I may be late to the game but now I’m making up for lost time.
I really enjoyed listening to his book. I’m glad that he married it himself but of course. I really enjoyed learning about his life his comedy everything. And a big fan now and looking forward to attending one of his concerts in Los Angeles. Randy please come to San Diego. LA is kind of a hike, but I’m gonna do it. You’re worth it.
I highly recommend this book to anyone. It was a delightful listen. And I enjoyed it very much.
Except the part where your beloved cat died during the pandemic, my cat has renal failure right now. Your experience broke my heart both for you and for me. I cried and cried.
I’m so happy for you and your success. You certainly deserve it. It’s wonderful and inspiring the way you carved out a place for yourself all on your own like that.
Your comedy really does make living through this difficult political climate filled with such vitriol and anger more bearable. Being able to laugh at the absolute insanity of it all is such a relief. Thank you for sharing your comedy with us and for all the laughs.
Now I’m going to listen to your second book. I’m sure it’ll be great. And it makes me happy to support your work. You keep doing you and we’ll all be watching and laughing. Don’t think I could stand 4 more years without you.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

You really get your credits worth in this book
Revisado: 11-11-24
I really feel I’m getting my moneys worth when I book is 48 hours long or however, much it actually was. There were so many interesting twists and turns and previous information. It was really very detailed and very good. Was a little slow to get into it first for me, but I stuck with it and I was very glad I did.
I like the fact that it was a female narrator for the female parts some narrators do female parts very very well, but it’s tough so this was delightful having a female narrating the female parts.
I recommend this book and the series. I just purchased the second book and I’m about to start enjoy.

Fun and fast paced
Revisado: 04-14-24
I enjoyed the series very much. I lost some sleep not wanting to turn it off. The pairing of space and magic was fun and created some interesting problems to deal with.
As an 87 hour boxed set it was well worth the credit. As good as the writing and narration were I would never have used 16 credits for all of the books. At around 5 hours a piece it wouldn’t have been worth the money.
I hate it when Si-Fi writers split up the books in a series at 10 hours or less. The books are ended so arbitrarily, and not at a logical stopping point. Just so you have to buy another one to continue the story. That’s a cheap ploy and you don’t get your money’s worth. Breaking a series up into 20 hour segments gives the readers value for their money, and gets you really invested in the story. So then I’m really committed and excited to read the next book.
My advice to Si-Fi writers is to make each book longer, and instead of taking advantage of your readers give them really great value for their money. Loyal readers are vitally important to all writers, you can’t afford to alienate them.

Revisado: 02-28-24
I loved the concept a completely unique take on a time travel story. I loved that it wasn’t just one person in a different time trying to figure it all out. The additional characters were a real +.
Each book was exciting and I couldn’t turn them off. I gave up a lot of sleep because I just had to know what happened next.
I highly recommend this box set. It’s awesome getting this many great books for one credit. I’m going to go check out his other books.

Good series but books are too short
Revisado: 08-06-23
I’m enjoying this series and I recommend it to all sifi fans.
My only complaint is that lately I’ve noticed with these SiFi series that the books are very short so there’s a lot of them. Which of course means spending a lot more money I don’t think it’s fair. Most of the other genre books I read even those in a series are much longer, instead of breaking them up into a lot of short books So you have to buy 11 that are on audible now. Each book is much longer, so you don’t have to buy so many.
I understand that writers need to earn a living and I support them by buying a lot of books. However I feel taken advantage of. The SiFi genre is dominated now with series books. And that’s fine with me, however I think each book should be several hours longer so we get our money’s worth on each book.
The 11 books available on audible add up to 110 hours divided by 11 books it makes an average of 10 hours a book. That is really short especially when you’re reading a long series. That’s a lot of money for some people to pay, and frankly I don’t think roughly $121 is a fair amount to pay.
Even if you just bought the hours up to around 15 a book would be more reasonable. That’s 7 books roughly $77. That’s a more appropriate price for 110 hours.
I don’t mind the genre doing long series instead of trilogies, however, breaking the books up willy-nilly just to have more books to sell,it’s just not right and as a fan, it feels like I’m being taken advantage of.
