Really theologically deep book, with a very good format of 12 letters exploring various issues of sin for people. I thought that as Driscolls such a great preacher, his reading style would also hold up, but sadly it's pretty tough going. I had to rewind a lot as I struggled to pay attention. Still the content is great for looking deep into how Jesus death and resurrection can restore even the most broken of lives. I may get the book later just to go back over it properly - but the audiobook was pretty dry with Mark's reading style - just to monotonous for a whole book. Sorry Mark.

Overall, some amazing truths in this book, certainly the research indicates long term trends that still hold up despite the fact the data in circa 94/95. The principle of long term investment, and spending less than you earn is sheer gold and impossible to argue with. The one thing that made no sense was a whole detailed focus on car purchases. They should have talked about real estate and real estate investment. That is the one glaring ommission, especially given that real estate has been a huge factor in the fortunes of so many millionaires. Apart from that, a decent and worthwhile read.

This was a fascinating story. I've been ignorant for so long about the legend of Lawrence of Arabia. It's an amazing tale, and there's plenty of detail. There's a few academic and dry spots near the end, but it is a pretty good intro to the whole story. I found myself Googling for more info at the end of it (and this is a long book too). I really enjoyed it, the british narrator seems to really fit the tone of the writing too.

The guy narrating sounds like an old Werther's ad. It's not bad, but it's got cheesy music at certain points and a fairly slow style of narration. The content is good though. Sometimes these books end up feeling pretty patronising by the time you're 3/4 of the way through.

The content is great, though you can get the gist of it without having to go through every detail. The narration was a bit boring for me, and came complete with some cheesy music to intro and outro the book as well. Apart form that, the system is pretty great, even if you can only pick up a few things about it - as I've done.

Fascinating story read by the man himself

I really enjoyed this and was pretty dissapointed when I completed all 18 hours worth of audio - only because it was over. Much of it is fascinating, and Ted had me laughing throughout as well. I really find business self-help titles to be pretty boring, this on the other hand was very inspiring. His personal life is quite a failure really, but there's much to be learned from here, with his energy, vision, and people skills. The Time Warner details at the end were a downer I thought, he seemed to go into too much detail and it seems the events are maybe still a bit raw. His early life and sailing, CNN etc stories we're absolutely awesome. I'm looking forward to listening to this again sometime. Easily the best audiobook I've listened too. This makes me want to get the book - though there's a great richness hearing this story in Ted's own southern accent. Hard to beat.
