Historia
Nathan Tyler is an unassuming professor at a middling American university with a rather obscure specialty in mathematics—in short, a nobody from nowhere. So why is the White House calling? Summoned to Washington, DC, for a top-secret briefing, Nathan discovers that he’s the key to a massive foreign intelligence breakthrough. Reading between the lines of a cryptic series of equations, he could open a door straight into the heart of the Kremlin and change the global balance of power forever.

What a great short story! It introduced me to a new author and at the same time showed me what a great author can do with an hour. :)

Historia
An old man's hazy memory and a Polaroid snapshot are all Chee has to go on, but they are enough to send him deep into an underworld of murder and revenge when a shootout erupts between two strangers at the Shiprock Wash-O-Mat. One man dies, and the other drives off but not before showing old Joseph Joe a photograph of the man he is looking for. It's not much of a lead for Sergeant Chee, but it's enough to put him on the killer's trail.

Historia
"Here is Betty White - a woman who has been on television forever!" is generally how Betty White is introduced. And quite accurately, too, since she first appeared in 1949, when both she and television were rank beginners. Since then, she has had one of the most amazing careers in TV, winning five Emmy awards, creating such unforgettable characters as Sue Ann Nivens and Rose Nylund, and appearing in a host of television classics.

Not what I expected! So disappointed.
Revisado: 10-01-24
I loved about a third of this book. Reba shared her life in an entertaining way. I quite enjoyed it. Then it went down hill. I had no idea she had such a big ego! Chapter after chapter she had big stars going on and on about how wonderful she is. Quite frankly there was so much shining her on, it became phony. Since there was a chapter sharing her faith, I was shocked she was so prideful. Yet she proclaims her love of God. So sad. Even my opinion of her went down, and she was my favorite singer/actress/comedian. I didn't finish the audible. I was so disappointed.

As well as the first three books, this narrator is amazing. A true voice actor. This 4th book did go on and on for 10 chapters about planes and new characters. Nearly gave up on the author, glad I didnt. But not to the caliber of 1-3.

Historia
Rare-book dealer Ashlyn Greer’s affinity for books extends beyond the intoxicating scent of old paper, ink, and leather. She can feel the echoes of the books’ previous owners—an emotional fingerprint only she can read. When Ashlyn discovers a pair of beautifully bound volumes that appear to have never been published, her gift quickly becomes an obsession. Not only is each inscribed with a startling incrimination, but the authors, Hemi and Belle, tell conflicting sides of a tragic romance.

A Long Read, but Worth it!
Revisado: 02-11-24
I loved the first half of the book. So interesting, and the few bars of her songs took me back. I must admit I got a a bit bored with the long chapters, so i fast forwarded. If you like Barbra, you will enjoy what you choose to listen to. Personally, less would be more, but it was worth the price.
