Historia
Adoption is often framed by happy narratives, but the reality is that many adoptees struggle with unaddressed trauma and issues of identity and belonging. Adoptees often spend the majority of their youth without the language to explore the grief related to adoption or the permission to legitimize their conflicting emotions. Adoptee and counselor Cameron Lee Small names the realities of the adoptee's journey, narrating his own and other adoptees' stories in all their complexity.

A Hopeful Heartbreak
Revisado: 03-11-25
This book is earth shattering. My heart broke in so many places and in so many ways. I am on the journey to adopt and I am forever grateful for this book. I enjoyed scripture and the Christian outlook so I can soak in some scripture and learn and embrace new views. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity for the outside looking in to your life Cam. 🩵

Historia
Joe Pickett is the new game warden in Twelve Sleep, Wyoming, a town where nearly everyone hunts and the game warden—especially one like Joe who won't take bribes or look the other way—is far from popular. When he finds a local hunting outfitter dead, splayed out on the woodpile behind his state-owned home, he takes it personally. There had to be a reason that the outfitter, with whom he's had run-ins before, chose his backyard, his woodpile to die in.

Loved it!
Revisado: 12-20-24
I admit the first couple chapters were slow, but they really are important to paint the picture of this series. I didn't know if I'd enjoy this book, but now I'm pleased to say I'm excited for this series! 3 'sisters' as main characters in the 1910 era and strong women at that.

Historia
People often think of Job sitting on the ash heap, his life in shambles. But how did he get there? What was Job's life like before tragedy struck? What did he think as his world came crashing down around him? And what was life like after God restored his wealth, health, and family? Through painstaking research and a writer's creative mind, Mesu Andrews weaves an emotional and stirring account of this well-known story told through the eyes of the women who loved him.

The Bible came to life
Revisado: 12-06-24
This Author is truly blessed in her abilities to make the Bible come to life. I can't even imagine how hard it is to do research and put the puzzle pieces together for these type of books. I got goosebumps when God spoke to Job, and even had to listen to those few chapters over again to FULLY grasp everything. This is entertainment, and a soul searching lesson all rolled into one. Goodness I just want to hug Mesu Andrews. Lovely work.
