really hard to read or listen to

most of the book is really depressing the Cherry part doesn't come till the epilogue. so this is not a book that I would ever read over and over again like I do with most romances this is more like coming of age instead of having a midlife crisis type of book.

not as disappointing

this book was better than the last couple of books. still not that great. I guess my biggest issue with this whole series is they keep pronouncing everything wrong. in the first book they actually pronounce the stuff correctly I don't know what happened between the first book and all the rest but I wish they'd go back.

I probably listen to this too soon after listening to the second book. The second book was a huge disappointment. this was a one was meh. The accents were better but they were you know kind of fake Scandinavian type things. Don't listen to a book entitled mystic bayou for Scandinavian accents so yeah still in that range disappointment.

Too disappointed to enjoy!

I got this series for two reasons. It was free. It reminded me of home. so the first book was great soft cajun accents funny eccentric characters. however if you're looking for those things in this book you're slowly disappointed. maybe it's different if you read it instead of listening to the audio. but this audiobook is a great big disappointment. Cajun accents are gone even when they're speaking French words, weird. The plots the same as the first book. so why even read it at all. I'm going to continue with the rest of the series because like I said again free but do I recommend this particular book no am I less inclined to recommend the series at all yes very much so.

This is one of my favorite books and I am so happy that is finally on audio well maybe not. cuz now I realize I've been pronouncing everything wrong. however I still love the book and I still love my pronunciations better because you know I got more flair.

pleasantly surprised

I've been on the fence about buying this book since it came out. I wasn't sure if I would like it It had a good summary but I just wasn't feeling it. I'm glad I waited it's a really great story I ended up binge listening to it and I think I'm going to listen to it again I definitely would recommend this story.

It was definitely better than the first book. I enjoyed listening to it The voices are really nice. The plot line was believable. there were some quirky moments that were quite fun to listen to.The men were total jerks but you know a lot of women get into that, and who doesn't love a good hot ginger.

spicy romance

I enjoyed listening to this book I liked that the author explained the title and that the characters were fairly strong and independent both male and female. I just felt like it was a little random when it came to the sex stuff like I kind of like how the author worked it in but on the other hand it would be in the middle of an important thought they would just go off on sex spots and I get that people are like that in real life but it's kind of a little annoying but it makes the book not predictable so I guess for other people it would be really awesome for me it was just a little bit of annoying.

great book need more!

it's funny because I wasn't really looking forward to this book because I was so wanting the series to have more Wesley and Jamie in it.but I really learned to love this book and I listened to it all the time so I hope eventually those two get around to writing some more in this series The wag series because they love it very open for more books and I could use some more stories in this particular series although probably take me a while to read cuz I prefer women that are a little bit stronger.

Okay I just didn't get it

The plot was simple and easy enough to follow. I just never really developed any love for the characters. I like a book that makes care what happens to the characters and this fail flat in that department.
