I love the focus of this audiobook on communication as that is a social skill which is often ignored, yet many people struggle with it in the corporate and social world. The author lays out very simple techniques and considerations to help improve one's communication skills.

I particularly like the focus on active listening as often people forget communication is 2-way traffic rather than one-way. And the focus on how to manage this skill and the body language tips do it for me. I feel anyone looking to develop their communication skills would benefit from this book. Very recommended.

Teens in the 21st century, whether Gen Z or millennials, all seem to have a common problem, which is low self-esteem. A very good beginners guide

The pandemic and the lockdown which came with it was a turning point in the world of investing for most teens as the momentum gathered for those following meme stocks & coins such as $GME, SHIBA, $AMC. This created a world of HODLERs some of them winners and some of them losers.

As things begin to settle down post-pandemic I feel it is important to return to understanding the fundamentals of investing and books like this one are just the perfect guides to get most teens started. The author shares their collective experience from their teaching so as to give every teen - new or experienced the best chance to get started and to succeed. The author shares insights such as understanding the difference between savings and investing, stock markets, how to manage emotions (which I feel is one of the most important skills set) and lots more. This a very relevant topic for every teen's wish list to help them navigate and thrive in the world of investing. Recommended.

The timing of this book was perfect for me. I spend my mornings trying to teach my five-year-old how to reach and write sight words to complement what they do at school. There are different ways of learning, but it always helps to bring a different perspective to their learning to give them a more diverse approach.

This book is comprehensive as it has over 215 sight words which any 5 - 6 year old would benefit. My son's school has spelling tests every Friday, so this book's pace and content would be a good addition to our bank of practice content. A very good opportunity to teach kids the life skill of reading at an early age. Very recommended.

What a tonne of jokes

After a long day, I've tuned in to this dad jokes book and can't stop smiling. They are just wonderfully awful but you really can't help it but keep going. It is a good collection to save for Christmas & Thanksgiving dinner. I love the vulnerability and, at the same time, creativity which comes with the jokes. I feel most dads need a copy of this book as part of the collection. A good one for a family fun time together.

Brilliant care guidance - no regrets

As one with ageing parents seeking medical attention, I can attest to much of what the author shares in this book. The dedication, sacrifice and challenges, both emotional and physical, can never be underestimated. The author shares their experience of looking after the mother who suffered from a stroke so others can learn from their experience.

I like how practical and the no-regrets approach the author takes. Sometimes the bigger emotional challenge is whether one should live their own life or pursue their own career instead of looking after their parents. This book provides good help for anyone embarking on the caregiving journey so they can have a clear plan, time and energy to reconnect with themselves and their patient effectively. I appreciate the focus on the need to build stronger relationships between the patient and the caregiver.

It is often easy to ignore or not even know the difference between old age and dementia. The author uses a personal story to spell out the differences and also deep dives into the difference of dementia and some of the suggestions for treatment. A good guide for seniors & carers.
