mediocre at best
Revisado: 02-07-17
i generally love tj klune. but this book was hard to get through. Being stuck in the mind of what is essentially a simpleton could be interesting the author creates a story that u as a reader know where everything is going but the main character does not. which in turn becomes ever increasingly frustrating as the main character makes poor choices or misses the clues in front of him.
an interesting idea, poorly executed.

I'm not the biggest fan of "straight boys turn" storues but this one works for me. Fun, sexy, sweet, and well rounded.

Fantastic
Revisado: 05-04-15
Brilliantly written. beautiful and sexy. my only complaint is a minor one with Charlie David. He does superbly well but every once in a while mispronounced a word and it can be a bit jarring. But overall a great book. I look forward to many more books by Damon Suede.

Great story, terrible performance
Revisado: 01-12-14
What did you love best about Fair Game?
Fun Story, interesting connections.
What other book might you compare Fair Game to and why?
Since this was my second Josh Lanyon book and you can feel the same writer it what is written and it was very enjoyable.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ray Ramano?
Charlie David is always my first choice, also the recording says it was read by Sawyer Allen. And if it was him and to Ray Ramano that needs to be changed. Because i would hate to give an AWFUL review of a the wrong person. He was flat in the whole performance showing almost no emotion or vocal range.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Very entertained with the mystery

too retrospective not enough intresting
Revisado: 01-12-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
less memories, more actions
Would you ever listen to anything by Michael Thomas Ford again?
probably not, this is the second book of his i have listened too. The first one wasn't that bad but i think this has killed his writing style for me for a while.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
keep from slowing down an already slow and overly lengthy story.
What character would you cut from Full Circle?
none of the characters need to be cut. Have the "memories" in the story could have been sizably cut though.

Historia
During the Civil War, two young soldiers on opposite sides find themselves drawn together. One is a war-weary scholarly Southerner who has seen too much bloodshed, especially the tortures inflicted upon the enemy by his vicious commanding officer. The other is a Herculean Yankee captured by the rag-tag Confederate band. When these two find themselves admiring more than each other's spirit and demeanor, when passions erupt between captor and captive, will this new romance survive the arduous trek to Purgatory Mountain?

intresting tale, wierd at times, thick accents
Revisado: 01-12-14
Would you listen to Purgatory again? Why?
probably not, the accents are too thick at times.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Don't really have one
What aspect of Mikael Naramore’s performance would you have changed?
i appreciated what he was attempting to do but reading it in such a thick accent makes it very hard to follow what is being said.
If you could take any character from Purgatory out to dinner, who would it be and why?
none, they all would be far to crass for me.....lol
