Historia
The murder of Paul Wheeler has all the elements of a blockbuster: family rivalries, incalculable wealth, and a prominent man dying in the arms of his beautiful mistress. It's a case that could earn Derek Mitchell even greater star power. When the Wheeler family approaches him about defending Creighton for his uncle's murder -- even before he's charged -- he jumps at the chance.

Great read! Didn't want to put it down. Dodge is a hoot, and a heck of an investigator. He's my favorite character. Superb ending!!

Historia
In only a few months, the small town of Hagen has lost two high school seniors, both under strange circumstances. When a third senior, the mayor’s son, drives through the plate glass window of the town’s diner and ends up in a coma, the deaths no longer seem unrelated accidents. The town is paralyzed with fear. The police can find no good explanation. Other students deny any knowledge of what’s happening, but Detective Kylie Milliard is certain at least some are lying.

Yet Another Great One!
Revisado: 06-09-23
I am a big Danielle Girard fan, and this book was right up there with some of her best. I was hooked right from the start, and, true to Danielle form, I couldn't put it down until the very last credit was read. Great writing and great narration. Thanks for yet another great one!

People say you can’t ever go back. That some of the things that happen to us simply cannot be redone. But the paths of a life journey are rarely straight. They twist and turn and wind back across those once visited and long thought to have faded from existence. Becca Miller has lived her life trying to do the right thing, even when its cost has been giving up the boy she loved and wanted to marry. The sacrifice she made for her sister isn’t one she regrets because there was no other choice for her to make.

Story Was Great, but...
Revisado: 01-06-23
I loved the storyline of this novel. Ms. Cooper never disappoints with her writing!! The narrator, however, was a different experience entirely! I'm confident that I've never listened to a more terrible narration. Awkward, inappropriate pauses, common words and names mispronounced, most of the narration was almost robotic. A painful thing to listen to. Honestly the storyline is what kept me hanging on until the end. I can highly recommend the book, but maybe not so much the audible version.

Charles Martin NEVER Disappoints!
Revisado: 09-19-22
And this book is no exception to that statement. I laughed, I cried, my heart ached, and my heart rejoiced. From the first two sentences, the reader is caught up and doesn't want to stop reading. The narrator great. And this story is definitely one that needs to be in front of us all. Human and sex trafficking is an abomination and yet is so prevalent. It's hiding in plain sight. We only need to open our eyes to its evil existence. Give this book a read. I promise it will make your Favorites list, too!

Historia
Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star - yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide-and-seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Callan Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house.

My First, But Not My Last!
Revisado: 09-26-20
Great read. I was completely immersed from the first page, not wanting to put it down. This was my first Nora Robert's novel, but certainly won't be my last! The plot was intense, the characters just meshed, making you feel like you were standing right there beside them. The writing so descriptive, you were running through the night with little Cate, smelling the manure in the milking barn with Dillon, and burning around that hairpin curve with Red in a fight for your life. WOW! And the narrator was amazing! Each character was so clearly different, at times I wondered if maybe there were multiple narrators rather than just one. Fantastic audio book. I was sad to reach the end.

Historia
An internationally famous photographer, Tucker Mason has traveled the world, capturing things other people don't see. But what Tucker himself can’t see is how to let go of the past and forgive his father. On a sprawling Southern estate, Tucker and his younger brother, Mutt, were raised by their housekeeper, Miss Ella Rain, who loved the motherless boys like her own. Hiring her to take care of Waverly Hall and the boys was the only good thing their father ever did.
