Is it as good as the first.....no
Is it worth a listen.....yeah
It's hard to go into this book having loved the first one so much. Expectations are high and that can make you very critical of every story decision. That being said, it was a fun story, if maybe a little predictable. At times it's a bit drawn out and others a bit rushed but overall I enjoyed it. Definitely worth a credit.

One hell of an adventure

Great story. Fun references. Perfect delivery.
Definitely a nerd must read. I'll be floored if the movie even scratches the surface of this book. I have listened to it 4 times and it's still fun every time. Not sure if a sequel could ever be worked out but I would kill for more. If you grew up in the 80's or 90's you will enjoy this book immensely!!!

Deserves more credit than GOT!

Perfection. Harry Potter has nothing on Kvothe. And Game of thrones can take its drawn out lineage conflicts and go play in the corner. This series will make an incredible movie/show when they finally get it going. The only warning I can give is to take your time. You'll fly through to the series and quickly discover that the 3rd book does not yet exist and it's release date has yet to be given **cough cough Patrick Rothfuss** :P

That feeling when Katniss would go on and on about Gale or Peeta and you'd roll your eyes wishing they would just get on with the story........generally sums up this whole book.
