Historia
Sara Martinez is a hacker. She recently broke into the New York City foster care system to expose her foster parents as cheats and lawbreakers. However, instead of being hailed as a hero, Sara finds herself facing years in a juvenile detention facility and banned from using computers for the same stretch of time. Enter Mother, a British spy who not only gets Sara released from jail but also offers her a chance to make a home for herself within a secret MI5 agency. Operating out of a base in Scotland, the City Spies are five kids from various parts of the world.

Lots of action!
Revisado: 02-02-25
Great for teen! Adventure book with teens as spies. I loved it! There is lots of action, but it seems believable. I’m recommending to my students. Great for middle school.

Historia
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Wonderful Fairy Tale Story!!
Revisado: 06-30-24
I loved the characters. All the deaths might be hard for younger listeners/readers, they aren’t gruesome and you don’t know the characters. I liked that the kids were the heroes and the villains got their comeuppance. Great book for tweens and beyond.

Historia
Kit McBride knows that Buck's Creek, Montana, is no place to find a wife. Between him and his three brothers—plus little Junebug—they manage all right on their own, thank you very much. But unbeknownst to Kit, his sister is sick to death of cleaning, cooking, and mending for her big brothers, so she places an ad in The Matrimonial News to get them hitched.

Fun romance
Revisado: 12-08-22
This fun, clean romance takes place mainly in the Montana backwoods in the 1800s and left me wanting more. I love the spunky sister who is tired of cleaning up after her brothers, so orders a mail order bride for her brother. Mayhem ensues with familiar tropes of mistaken identity, bad weather, and other fun. Loved it! It left me wanting more!
