Historia
Near the topmost deck of an interstellar generation ship, Dorothy Gentleman wakes up in a body that isn’t hers—just as someone else is found murdered. As one of the ship’s detectives, Dorothy usually delights in unraveling the schemes on board the Fairweather, but when she finds that someone is not only killing bodies but purposefully deleting minds from the Library, she realizes something even more sinister is afoot.

Great story. I want more in this universe
Revisado: 03-21-25
very well narrated, good characters, wonderful works building, a smart thought provoking story. I really enjoyed this book and truly hope there's more coming set in this world. my only complaint is that it's short. Definitely worth buying

Historia
Some places are too good to be true. Under a pink moon, there is a perfect little town not found on any map. In that town, there are quiet streets lined with pretty houses, houses that conceal the strangest things. After a couple years of hard traveling, ex-cop Mona Bright inherits her long-dead mother's home in Wink, New Mexico. And the closer Mona gets to her mother's past, the more she understands that the people of Wink are very, very different....

almost decent story ruined by a stupid ending
Revisado: 10-25-24
please don't waste your time on this. entry plot beat is absurdly predictable. three main character is dense with no imagination who has to have the same exact thing explained to her a dozen times over the course of the book, and it's still shocked and confused every time she is dealing with it. and, in the dumbest lovecraftian tropes, every person who sees the scary bug, fish, tentacles space monsters kills themselves and their family. the book spends a whole chapter on people killing their spouses, children, and themselves. it's so stupid
