I love The Hunger Games, which I only ever read. I wanted to re-read the book, but I wanted to listen to it. I've listened to a lot of YA books and almost every one I've listened to has had an excellent narrator so I was expecting this hugely popular book would have a good one. It's not that Carolyn McCormick doesn't know how to narrate a book. I imagine her narration would have worked really well for another book. The tone actually kind of reminded me of Davina Porter who narrates the Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon.

I really didn't understand why they got someone who sounded like she was in her late 40s/early 50s to read a teenager, especially given all of the amazing YA narrators I've heard.

Audible, y'all should do these again with someone else narrating. Judging by all of these reviews, I guarantee you I wouldn't be the only one who would buy it.
