Historia
Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

Very similar to the book Hellhole by Brian Herbert
Revisado: 02-22-20
Very similar and a bit Dune’ish in that sense which I happen to like. It’s the Nescafé of Dune almost. It suffices when the real thing isn’t “avialable” for consumption.

Historia
Shadow Moon has been on the road a while now, but he can't walk any farther tonight, not with the rain lashing down. Gratefully he heads home with a nice English couple, who offer a box room, hot whisky and local tales. But when the man collapses en route, Shadow realises that something about this place has been left untold. Something ancient, something within the very walls of the village. Something shadowing them all.

Niel Gaiman a One hit wonder.
Revisado: 01-31-20
I first listened to American Gods and really liked it. Since then I’ve listened to Four of his works and it’s honestly all very disappointing, I returned each one. Just plain boring and meaningless. His stories just drags on and on and he seems to just like to create stories for the sake of it.
I fell a sleep during this one several times. With such a potential arsenal of excitement at his disposal making stories about super natural things he still manages to make it as exciting as episodes of that daytime British tv show that never ends, the one with the Land Rover in the vinjett, I forgot the name although it’s been on tv for more than 20 years (that’s how exciting it’s is). His books after American Gods equally.
He is a one hit wonder. Stay clear unless you want to scream “But Come ON for Gods sake...”

Historia
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

Nothing remotely as good as American Gods.
Revisado: 01-30-20
This book I listened to with the constant feeling of wondering When the book is really going to start as in kick off, it never happens. It just keeps dragging on and on and on... it’s plain Boring of All the potentials of a great story that the author had at disposal he choose none... its just a story that keeps
Never starting nor ending.
I really liked American Gods big time and that this book is labeled as having Anything remotely in common is gravely misleading except it has the same author.
Super disappointed!!! You could could have written a better story yourself, promise!

Revisado: 09-11-19
This is by unmeasurable leaps the most Intelligent and cunning book in the entire series. I love it and wish there were more books focused on the Dark Side. The performance of the narrator is excellent, especially when he does Darth Plagueis and Palestine’s voices.
It also gives an insight into what happened and layed the ground before Palpatines asencance and the movies.
It’s a highly recommended audiobook!!

Ok but poor ending...
Revisado: 09-08-19
Good to hear a story from the Dark side. Disapointing end as it was just a wrapup and too convenient. The ending could have been much much more intresting.
I still recomend the book with that reservation.

Excruciatingly naive characters.
Revisado: 06-27-19
I love the Frank Herbert book even though they can be a bit complicated. The Brian Herbert books are Much esiern to ”read”. Normally they are ok, this one was just aweful... they made the characters annoyingly naive to the point it angers you to listen many times. It
Could have been a stellar book with Everything lined up perfectly but they just made everybody stupidly naive and ending up killing the whole thing.
I asked for my money back from Audible!

Jessica and Gurney are on Caladan; Alia is trying to hold the Imperial government together with Duncan; Mohiam is dead at the hands of Stilgar; Irulan is imprisoned. Paul's former friend, Bronso of Ix, now seems to be leading opposition to the House of Atreides.

Annoying when Narrator makes “female” fake voice constantly.
Revisado: 05-31-19
Since this book has very strong female influences in characters it would had been much better with Female narrator or dual a male and female. After a while it becomes tediously annoying to hear a man fake a female silk smooth voice of speech and thoughts.
I’ve had to stop listening many times just becuse of how annoying it becomes.
Probably a good book but this takes away much that’s for sure.
The narrator works fine for the other books but for this it does not work at all.
